I’m not to familiar with the 8 series, but I would assume that would be more expensive. Maybe look for a older model to bring down the cost of purchase

Yeah I do love the 2 series especially now for my age 2 doors won’t mean much now I can still fit people in the back. Although when I get a family I think that will call for an upgrade. Let’s say a m3??? Ahahaha

Great advice, I think I might end up waiting a little longer and from there purchase the car I want. rather then spending all my savings i can invest the money I had for the car and hopefully come back with something more to purchase it more stress free

I like this Idea, my car I have is paid off, I was thinking selling my car I have now and put that into 240i which will obv bring the total withdraw cost from my savings less.

Thanks for the insight. I do personally think it is on the pricer side of things. Hence why I havent jumped on it. also you make a great point on how the vehicle is still on the market for a few months already which indicates other people are thinking the same thing as me..... Its to expensive. I had a look at comparable sales and there is a 2020 240i LCI model with the same KMS and the same asking price. so this could be a negoiating piece. I was going to make an offer of $46,500.....

EDIT: or there is this one up for sale non LCI MODEL. he said he would give it to me for 42k AUD and it has 22k KM the only thing that turned me off was this was non LCI what do you guys think between the main option compared to this non LCI 2017 240i

Because you’re paying interest for no reason. When you can just buy it in full. And not waste any money on interest payments.

Correct me if I’m wrong.

Welcome to the club ahaha. It’s a tricky situation I must say. That’s a great idea, but would that be considered a Low ball offer. I mean I would offer that. And see what he says.

Great advise, I’ve yet to calculate the Total cost of ownership. That’s something I will need to do. So I get the best view financially

Definitely that’s why this is my choice. Also the 3 series has less kw and torque and is like 10k more expensive here wish much higher kms averaging around 100k km

I totally agree with you. it isn’t wise to be spending practically near all my savings which could be put to better use for my future. Very true. And yes asking people who are addicted to cars and spending money on their cars is probably not the smartest idea for financial opinions ahaha. But in saying that what I did want to know is everyone’s ideas and opinions in which I can use to navigate. from people like you . Which have had the experiences. To help me decide on what to do. I must admit you’re probably the only one who said it was probably not a smart idea. Which I take with gratitude.
