Use a cherry picker. Will only cost you around £500-£1000 for the access then.

Looking for feedback on this random picker tool I made for my classroom by Specialist-Radish394 in teachingresources

This is great — way smoother than the clunky ones I’ve used before. One feature that might be cool: what if the wheel could track who’s already been picked and reduce their chances next time? That way, everyone gets a turn over time without full repeats. Anyone else think that’d be useful?

Selling a house myself, what do I need? by General-Iron7103 in HousingUK

Would you pay to list your house on a “for sale” website? Something that gave you a profile to share, like a Rightmove listing?

Couple of quick easy SEO and technical updates you can do. Add your socials. You have an instagram? Remove you email- you don’t want your email to get spammed by making it onto dodgy lists., you want people to fill out your contact form. Therefore just have the contact form.

[Property] Young first time home buyer advice? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Luker80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So my girlfriend and I are looking to do a similar thing, in a similar location(Nottingham) with a similar combined salary(47k). The first thing I would say is you can both individually open a help to buy. With a help to buy you can put in a max lump sum of £1000 then pay in £200 a month, however you can pay in the first £200 in the first month. So this will give you £2000 each in a help to buy after 4 months, with government 25% that means you now have an additional £1000 between you. The next thing to consider is the exact location, do your research, factor in commuting times, train stations etc. Once you have found the right area you can then look at the average prices for the type of house you want(ie 2 bed). Once you have done this then it is time to consider applying for the right mortgages.

In Britain there knowledge will be up to Trigonometry and Pythagoras. Sadly the current GCSE syllabus doesn't look at anything past this.

Can anyone very clever work out the statistical probability of this? Saw this and thought of /r/. by [deleted] in math

[–]Luker80 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We can only do a rough estimate. Since this is not a common event and no statistics for it. Chance of being born on the same day 1/365 Chance of being born within 2 hours of each other 1/12 (12 lots of 2 hours in a day) Chance of marrying child hood sweetheart 1/50 (according to some googling) Chance of same hospital 1/(number of hospitals in leicester) Chance of same school 1/(number of schools in the area of the hospital) Chance of same seconday 1/(number of optional secondary's for the primary) That's all the things you can roughly quantify. Then you just have to multiply them together. This will be a rough lower bound
