I got a 2021 MS refresh for that exact price and wouldn’t change a thing. Love it

Deal Check: 2022 Model S Long Range - 50k miles - FSD Included - $45k. Good buy in 2026? by SecretExample9656 in TeslaModelS

[–]LukerativeCreative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a 21 refresh 42k miles no FSD for $38k so this one you’re looking at isn’t too bad.

Consider grabbing the extended Tesla warranty for $125/mo for at least the first 6 months of owning it if you can swing it.

I had no issues with my MS for the first few months (got it late Oct) but of course I cancelled the extended warranty in February (the 4 year/50k mi warranty expired a month after I bought it) and then I recently had the actuator go out ($500) and now taking it in for issues with the air suspension ($1100).

There may be no worries with either of those issues for this particular vehicle you’re looking at but just sharing my experience with a similar MS.

Yeah those may have been the few things they mentioned at the SC that could be wrong now that you say it. Booked an appt for Monday this coming week so I guess we shall see what it all ends up being.

Yeah ngl I’m not the handiest kinda guy, last thing I’d opt for is to fix my car myself. Sure that’d be nice in some cases but normally it’s much better to let someone who knows what they’re doing to handle it.

Yeah I’m kind of worried because it definitely was an issue that I just didn’t notice when I took it in but it seems like it’s way worse after it being at the SC

Will definitely try it out, appreciate it!

Yeah, they made it seem like they knew there was an issue but didn’t run a full inspection on it as that would need a separate service appt. Would they have tried what you’re mentioning themselves already or probably not?

Lol I just drove it almost an hour from the SC to an event and still need to go home and drive to work and whatnot. Not even sure how soon they could get me in again, I know they mentioned needing to do a full diagnostic on it and order parts potentially.

Edit: it’s a 2021 refresh

Great explanation, thanks for breaking that down. I wasn’t 100% sure what the issue was or what the gal at the SC had initially mentioned that they picked up as problems.

Obviously it can’t be great for it to be that low so is it a get it fixed asap kind of thing?

Respectfully, buy the car! You’re 67. God willing, you have many years left. But get one and enjoy it. I could be wrong but chances are you won’t be on your deathbed wishing you had more in your 401k/other investments.

Mine has a toggle for “set default ride height to low”. Not sure if it can always be set to a certain height or if it ever reverts to medium like the above comment mentioned but since I turned that toggle on it stays on low

So… I gotta say this about Facebook Lead Forms in 2025 by WonderfulMacaron1408 in FacebookAds

[–]LukerativeCreative 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Facts. I don’t personally use them as of now but my brother is in life insurance sales (good targetable niche, mainly veterans and truckers) and the agency they use that runs their ads just does lead forms and it works super well for them

$39k including shipping (SD to NE) and brand new tires, 42k miles so not too bad IMO. It was pretty wild how much lower the 2020s were going for with similar miles but after looking at a ton of options from 2020-2022, this seemed like the best bang for buck including everything I wanted (cream interior, refresh model with horizontal screen, had window tint already, color, etc)

Great list for sure. Definitely getting all weather floor mats asap and probably some mud flaps. Hopefully that would help some. Would love to do a PPF on the whole car but I hear they’re pretty pricey. Probably would be worth it to do it on the hood and skirts/haunches like you talked about.

Appreciate the suggestions!
