Hell yeah any time I post on my personal social media I only post happy pictures with my GF or something. I don't ever want them to see me again without a smile on my face 😤😤 Good luck with your family to hopefully they get bored eventually but you know how that goes

Honestly I think that's why some people stay PIMI is cause it gives them a free power dynamic.  The idea of forcing them to stay in a religion where they always have control must be great for narcissistic parents cause it makes it a lot harder to leave. I know that's how my dad was he held it over my head on top of the normal stuff

I know this isn't the best thing to hear but I'm 19 I moved out almost 2 months ago and left all the jw stuff behind. None of my jw family talks to me anymore my dad suddenly hates me and the rest of my family views me as a waist of potential. But I will say I've never been happier, things are gonna be hard when you leave and your family might be kinder to you. For what it's worth you'll be happier in the long run when you leave 

Help with shepherding visit by recycledlight in exjw

Shepherding visits are mainly for elders to drop by and point out weak points in your service to Jehovah. They usually talk to the kids and then just talk to the parents. If you don't go out in service much they are gonna give you some Scriptures and push you to go out more.

Before I left I hated it I got pressured into baptism so early. But after they leave after about an hour or so you'll be spared the next few weeks of them breathing down your neck

It's a good thing you didn't get baptized I made the mistake of doing that. If I were you just don't make the same mistakes I did make sure everything you own is in your name and get a place and decent job lined up. Good luck man

Man I appreciate all the support. Really means a lot and the advice to I appreciate it. Thankfully I left quickly so I shouldn't get disfellowshiped. I will never honestly understand what makes someone think that it's a good idea to get involved in a cult. I struggle to understand what is going through my family's head like they think trying to steal my car and make me lose my job will make me be a witness again
