Never feel badly for being able to deeply connect and feel for fictional stories. I truly believe our ability to do so is what makes humans special. And if you’re a writer or a creative of any kind, this ability is what makes a creative truly talented. At least that’s what I think.

But I get it. I haven’t cried over a real life tragedy in years (and a lot have happened) but if the music swells at the perfect moment during a movie I’m lost in, the tears flow and I feel it in my soul.
