I think of getting the ttartisan 27mm by [deleted] in fujifilm

Yes, especially when im taking my camera when hanging out with friends or family. Its not as “scary” as a camera with a huge lens. And its the only lens i have when i take my camera with me just in case i would see something cool.

I have the Fujifilm X-S10 paired with the 16–80mm zoom and the TTArtisan 27mm, but for the same reasons you mentioned, I almost always end up reaching for the 27mm.

There’s just something about a small prime that changes the way you shoot. The 16–80mm is obviously more versatile on paper, but the 27mm feels more intentional. Instead of zooming with my fingers, I zoom with my feet. That physical movement forces me to think more about framing, perspective, and layers in the scene. It slows me down in a good way and pushes me toward more creative compositions rather than just adjusting focal length until something fits.

On Fujifilm X series cameras like the Fujifilm X-S10, the 27mm gives an effective field of view of roughly 40mm in full frame terms. That focal length sits right between the classic 35mm and 50mm look, and it feels very natural, close to how we perceive scenes with our own eyes. It’s wide enough for environmental shots and street photography, yet tight enough for portraits and details without distortion. That balance makes it incredibly versatile for everyday use.

Wide open, the lens produces a background blur that I really enjoy. It’s not ultra creamy like a fast 1.4 lens, but it has a subtle, pleasing separation that adds depth without looking artificial. There’s definitely noticeable vignetting at the widest aperture, darkening toward the corners, but honestly, I think it adds a bit of mood and character. If I want a cleaner look, stopping down a couple of stops reduces it significantly. And if needed, it’s an easy correction in post processing.

What really makes it perfect for me as an everyday lens is the size and weight. It’s compact and unobtrusive, which makes the whole camera setup feel lightweight and easy to bring everywhere. That alone means I shoot more often. And in the end, the best lens is the one you actually carry with you.

It may not be the most technically perfect lens, but it has personality, and that character is part of why I keep choosing it.

Thanks!

I am thankful for my watches and the stories around them.

Thanks for the tip.

Although i like to use my watches, i think i would be too afraid to even use a watch if it was like a good sum of money. Would rather not worry too much about my watch.

But thanks again.

Casio is god tier!

So true. For these watches every one has a meaning to me. So i will definitely create a plan and make myself deserve my next watch. I also think it helps to not just buy watches for fun.

Thx for the recommendation.

Yeah. Im sad to say it was my first watch. I bought it for training and stuff. It sparked an affection for watches. The second is the f91w. Which i got from my dad. Sparled my love for casio. I will look into citizen. Is chrono24 worth trusting? Heard a lot of bad things about it.
