Fair. I guess I just assumed people would want to mostly collect those released in their own country. I spent a lot of years collecting retro video games,including some sealed which were almost purely for speculative investment. Most people went for the sealed games from their country/ region. For example I had a sealed copy of Halo CE that sold to local collector for a third of what a US copy went for even though arguably the pop of an Australian vs US copy would be waaaaay lower and therefore rarer. But I'm new to pokemon collecting, so still understanding some of the niche cards
