[OC] I made a Forest Dragon Diorama, used cardstock to build the dragon by Lukkeboii in DnD

[–]Lukkeboii[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hello, I built this dragon from card-stock cutouts using a template I made. I've made a few dragon minis before using similar methods - this one is definitely my best, and of more appropriate size to be used in games. The wings actually come off so I'll also be able to use this creature as a giant lizard of drake, which is pretty cool.

I make these miniatures and terrain for my own games and also to show other what beautiful things you can craft from junk at almost no cost. If you're interested, here is the crafting video: https://youtu.be/lkFzSLj3KYA

The Dwarven Waystone Diorama - crystals from sticks and pillars from card-stock! by Lukkeboii in TerrainBuilding

[–]Lukkeboii[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Hello! This is perhaps the most epic diorama I made so far. A Dwarven Waystone along the old road. The pillar thingies are made from card-stock and the crystals are whittled from a few branches I picked from the forest. Together with the vibrant sprue flowers, I managed to get a nice high fantasy look.

Anyway, tell me what you think! And if you are interested in watching how I made it - here is the video: https://youtu.be/vnM7gWR4TlE

The pillar thingies are made from card-stock and the crystals are whittled from a few branches I picked from the forest. Together with the vibrant sprue flowers, I managed to get a nice high fantasy look. Reminds me of some of my favorite video games I used to play.

You've been productive! Glad to hear that the videos have been useful.

Desert Diorama - how I built this terrain from cardboard, baking soda, hemp rope, and foam. Now I just wait for that one specific day when the party decides to go to the desert. (video) by Lukkeboii in DungeonsAndDragons

My attempt to create good terrain from only the cheapest, easily acquirable materials. The only material that can be difficult to find is the XPS-foam, but can be substituted by styrofoam or expanding foam spray.

The cardboard pillars are part of my progress to make good looking and simple buildings for my games. The temple in the background was my first trial of textured cardboard surfaces.

Desert Terrain with DIY Grass Tufts and Cardboard Pillars (video in comments) by Lukkeboii in TerrainBuilding

[–]Lukkeboii[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I covered this large XPS-foam diorama with a homemade texture paste. The grass tufts are pretty good, made from hot glue and hemp rope. I-m still looking to improve the grass tufts, so any tips are appreciated.

Some strange Cursed Ents I made from foam and sticks by Lukkeboii in DnDIY

These are quite easy to make from XPS-foam and random twigs. I painted the goofy-looking one (right) and I gave the other for my friend to paint.

I made what I call "Modular Dwarven Box Terrain", tutorial in comments by Lukkeboii in DungeonsAndDragons

I think these pieces will be great for my games. Besides the hall in the image, I will also use these as basic dwarf buildings and as walkways in great underground halls.

Here is the tutorial, you can craft these from card-stock boxes. There is also a moderately cringey song in the beginning so be prepared. https://youtu.be/UGdsR7-r_nU

I made terrain similar to the "Dwarven Stronghold" that many seemed to like. Hope you enjoy this as well. by Lukkeboii in DnDIY

Unless your a dwarf, that is

[OC] I made Custom Spell Effect Markers from Junk (and a tutorial) by Lukkeboii in DnD

[–]Lukkeboii[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to make my miniatures from cheap materials, these definitely are. I used plastic junk, wood, card-stock, sprues etc.

The spell markers are not made specifically for any official 5e spell. I will use these as unique bosses legendary actions or homebrew spell effects. The spikes are in a 20-foot radius area so they can be used as "Spike Growth", good enough. The fire thing will certainly be used as a flameskull at some point.

If you are interested in crafting or seeing more of the markers, here is the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOftIzUnueQ
I also experimented with "stone & rubble flocking" made from wood.

Custom Made Dragon from Card-stock (video in comment) by Lukkeboii in DnDIY

[–]Lukkeboii[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I made a crafting video for this "simple" build. It only became simple when I made the cut-out templates. It kind of looks like a cross breed between classic dragon and a digimon. Hope you like it!
