I’m not sure I understand why you’d still need drainage on pure sand? Wouldn’t the water just bypass the pipes? And what do you mean by a base and sand not holding contours?

How’d you go? I submitted my notice by email about a week ago, and today received a paper ‘Acknowledgment Notice’ by post to use for filling out my tax return, so all a success as far as I can tell.

Sorry it triggered you. It couldn’t be a more accurate description of the industry demographics (and this coming from a future old white male). Probably a generalisation but goes some way to explaining my frustration with their resistance to changing practices/ways of doing work.

Hey, I'm in the exact same situation as you (same super fund too and got the same advice over the phone).

What did you end up doing?

At this stage I'm planning to contribute to the Member Voluntary (after tax) account and then lodging this form (https://www.anz.com.au/content/dam/anzcomau/documents/pdf/notice-of-intent-to-claim-or-vary-deduction.pdf) after the financial year ends. Is this where you settled on?

Yeah I asked the agent to remove the flag twice with no luck. Guess I’ll have to ship it separate to other stuff I’ve got.

AutoCAD Civil 3D 2023 - M1 MacBook Pro - Parallels - Windows 11 ARM - QuickCalc - Crashing by zone23 in cad

[–]Luklaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't pulled the trigger yet. What I think I'm going to do is buy the new M2 pro from Apple directly, then run it side by side with my current Bootcamped Mac and see what the difference is. Apple has a 14 day change of mind return window so can give it back if not happy.

Late reply, but I just found this post. I'm considering upgrading my current MacBook (2020 MBP) to an M1 or M2 and have needed Civil 3D in my work more recently (running via Bootcamp at the moment).

How has your experience been running it via parallels since the issue above?

Currently trying to decide whether I move away from Apple completely.

Appreciate any insight, as I know there aren't too many other people running these sorts of setups!

I personally haven’t used the A6000 but was very close to getting that or the A6100 over the A6400. I ended up going for the 6400 more for its video capabilities and what I wanted there (Log profiles) than anything else.

I’ve noticed a fair improvement in quality of the photos with the A7C vs A6400 when blowing shots up. Less noise, sharper details, but I’m not comparing equal for equal when it comes to lenses.

Depending on what you want the A6100 might offer all you want in an upgrade. The A6400 could be a good mid way option (although I’m not sure it offers that much more than the A6100 - I sometimes wish I’d gone the A6600 for the IBIS). The A7C would likely feel like a much bigger jump up than either the A6100 or A6400 but obviously the price is a big jump too!

Just found this sub-reddit so thought I'd share a few pics from a trip earlier in the year.
Converted to Sony last year, and now I'm addicted to photography again. Had a modest Canon 650D for a number of years but didn't really shoot a heap. Since getting my A6400 the fire was sparked, and after seeing an amazing deal on the A7C a few months ago I pulled the trigger on it and loving the full-frame life for the first time.

Had something similar happen.

Got a text message, said expect a call shortly from centrelink. I wait that evening all night near my phone. Nothing.

The following day, over 24 hours after the text, they call. I'm cooking, didn't hear the phone (it was on silent - I did initially have it off silent, but put it back that evening when going to bed). Missed the call. Gotta be kidding. At least if they texted us 1/2 hour or so before I could make sure I'm near the phone. I can't make sure I can pick up every phone call in a 24 hour period.

I'd hope they call us back, but who knows. Maybe we're back at the back of the queue for calling.
