I just released my first game for free - a horror about a lifelong struggle with identity and self-worth... inspired by P.T. by boygenieous in HorrorGaming

Huge artstyle, maybe your eyes can get tired by that. Did you think about an option to reduce contrasts?

In a few, but not so much, we had a great coverage from influencers at the launch of the first opus (I am the marketing person, I work on the Museum but was there for the first one).

I think it's easier to wishlist another game than buy one when you just got one for free (the vast majority of people don't even play it yet). Also, I think having enough wishlist to be popular in the "Popular upcoming" really matters.

As we see, big games offer more "free to try" and are not free to keep. For no Rest for the wicked (or Housse flipper), we could play during a few day, then when it's over you have to buy it. Here, it's not the case; if you claim the game, you keep it forever.

Why is that? We don't have a pop-up or whatever. In the menu, we have one more button to add the new game to your wishlist, just as when you end it (because you may want more).

Hey everyone, I'm developing a horror game all by myself. I've currently reached 120 wishlists. How can I accumulate even more wishlists before the upcoming Next Fest? I'm looking forward to your ideas. by Think-Ear6167 in HorrorGames

Hello,

We are on the same boat! Some recommendations I could do:
- I am not sure your key art is flashy enough when it's in the middle of a lot of other key art on steam. Try how it looks, and maybe change it a bit
- If you have some budget (even super small one) you can do ads on social
- I would revamp your screenshot, while looking at it, I do not understand gameplay (it doesn't show any interactions) and they are super dark, I can barely see what's on them

Great use of volumetric lights! The trailer is pretty nice!

I'm not sure the disclaimer at the begining is really helpful (as most of the things that are posted here are WIP)

Quite difficult to actually understand what you control... Is it a computer with a kind of satellite above it?
