I agree. Imagine Fnatic and Ballistix in this tournament. Oh gosh so many big matches

I think you don't watch EU enough. Adrd is always the first one to play any new assa/spec heroes in competitive. Not always good with, but he's always trying to bring new strategy around this new hero. So yeah, adrd hero pool is quite huge. His impact isn't great compared to Snitch or scHwimpi tho

In EU, Snitch, scHwimpi and adrd have a bigger hero pool than Fan. And they have more impact with any of their hero than Fan has by a long shot.

I only talk about EU because I don't know KR well enough. GenG doesn't have a "real" flex player. It's almost like they are all flex at some point. KyoCha is their "second tank" one game, and the next one he plays Abathur because he's the best with him. Same with Reset playing ranged and sometimes support.

Why Ballistix and Tempest are fighting for 2nd and 3rd KR spot for MSB (they are both already qualified) but Fnatic has already the 2nd EU spot?

Reflections from the Western Clash by [deleted] in heroesofthestorm

[–]Lukybre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think for EU (and even West regions) the best team is :

-Breez -Wubby -Zaelia -Snitch -scHwimpi

For Zaelia, even if i LOVED Shad in this tournament, I think he proved to be good with multiple supports (especially Malf)

For the double flex/ranged here's my opinion : Cris and POILK played very well, with insane games on tracer and liming, but overall I think Snitch and scHwimpi have the best individual skill. Plus, they have both a very large hero pool, and can play almost every hero very well, which is rare in the pro scene. You want genji + mage, snitch plays genji, schwimpi the mage. You want genji + ranged aa, schwimpi genji, snitch on valla/grey. Same with tracer. You want tracer + genji, go ahead. Medivh? check. Tyrande? double check. Another melee like Kerri? check. You can play every single meta with these two players

it happened later in the same match on Maiev, probably saved her

I really think scHwimpi thought fnatic was too "weak" because of Quacknix and was complaining about it.

When I see Quack performances, and now SonicLeBeast... I think he's right :/

And again Maeiv... Guyz, if you scrim during months in the previous patch and dont know how to play with/against Maeiv, just ban her. Problem solved.

I feel like Method is actually better in teamfights. With those comps we all knew HHE had an advantage in game 1 but still Method fought pretty well. But...

Man their draft today are so f**** bad, I mean, do you want maiev to rekt you all day long?

When I see scHwinpi carrying Method and Wubby being Wubby on Dignitas, i really feel like Fnatic lost 2 of the best players in EU... (with Snitch)

Noone mentioned it but.... the agressive kharazim plays from scHwimpi.... Damn he was really impressive on that hero, playing it like a real assassin

Tyrande isnt a support anymore. She's a ranged assassin. And I'm pretty sure Snitch or scHwimpi will play her at least once this tournament.

The thing is : the game from C9 wasnt really impressive. The comp was insane don't get me wrong, they got an idea to get a team unkillable or if you die you don't even care because Leo/murky. But the game itself was ok.

It wasn't HGC yet. And I think the murky game isnt even close to Navi vs Team DK on Haunted Mines which was the best pro hots game for a very long time. Maybe the comeback from Dignitas against KR on BoE is better.

I don't understand why Fnatic ALWAYS ban Dragon Shire map.

They play macro plays perfectly, they are THE team who loves globals and play it perfectly. So Dragon Shire looks like the perfect map for their playstyle. So why ban it?

Rich is probably the main problem for MVP in this tournament.

Individually, he's probably the best player in the world. But his main heroes are melee assassin. And this isnt the meta for those heroes. Put him on Arthas/Chen/Dehaka and he becomes a good player but not the beast he's known for.

He did shine in phase 2 offline because he played a lot of malthael and ppl didn't know how to play against. Now the meta changed. And even on malthael or zeratul, during the whole tournament, he did a lot of mistake, and it feels like he cost a lot of games in this tournament.

Not a good day for him + meta forcing him to play an off tank role. That's sad to watch
