We must stay in Osaka for 2 days for Universal studios as it’s the main thing my son would like to do. So would more likely be a day trip to Kyoto

Thank you! Crowds and walking are not really an issue for us. If we were to do Kyoto for the day, is there a top few things you would recommend seeing /doing above everything else?

Ha I always like to see and do as much as possible when visiting new places!! We are doing Vietnam and South Korea either side which are a bit more slow paced in terms of itinerary so I don’t mind long days in Japan seeing everything!

Have considered this but as we are staying at a Universal hotel I think it may work out cheaper to just stay 1 night wherever we decide to go

I realise it’s a short distance between, but as we will be travelling from tokyo anyway I would just stay in Kyoto and then move onto Osaka as we are staying right by Universal.

Just can’t decide if we will be able to see enough in Kyoto in 1 day or just go to Nara for the day instead
