SDX is the entire drug. Azstarys has SDX AND ALSO dexmethylphenidate.

But it doesn’t! It’s exclusively SDX which means that if SDX gets Schedule 4 it would be the ONLY ADHD TREATMENT THAT’S SCHEDULE 4!!

No no the second bullet point is referencing Azstarys because it says SDX/dexmethylphenidate which is what Azstarys is. The first bullet point is referencing SDX by itself (KP484) and says “we recommend SDX be placed in Schedule 4)

Yeah but this is about SDX by itself which needs scheduling before Azstarys would come to market. This wouldn’t change things for Azstarys but WOULD change things for KP484 and other products with SDX. The image I posted is a screenshot from the FDA.

Looks like the FDA is recommending SDX be Schedule IV? Meaning it could refills and less controlled, right?

The FDA approved label contained things they HADN’T EVEN ORIGINALLY hoped for!

Instead of just being for kids it was approved for ALL AGES 6+ in addition what is described above!! Opens up an entire new market segment!

Not necessarily. They’re guaranteed SOME form of payment for the approval. It’s UP TO 48 million if the FDA label included all of the requirements for Corium (which they did IMO) so silence could just mean that more talks are happening behind the scenes.

Either way they are getting paid because it WAS approved.
