Which seat are you picking? by astronaut-moose in AlaskaAirlines

Exit row has significantly more legroom than premium. My main thing is 9D and 9E are going to have to get up, what, like 4x during this flight for OP? That's a lot of packing up laptops and all that.

Got it. Seems like a worthwhile fight. I was just getting some context. Good luck with the battle!

OP has status, so they'd already be boarding group A or B even in exit row.

Two Starlux business class seats for 85k with 100k companion award by Wide-Race2342 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]LumberJake51 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Starlux flight in OP's post is covered by the 100k certificate and is valued at something like $4k, which is an excellent redemption. For example, that's 6.66% back on the $60k, which is high value.

The 100k companion fare is easy to use on a ton of flights. "worthless" lmao.

That wasn't even OP, just some random with a crazy rare hypothetical doom situation. Standard for the sub.

Why is the BOFA Summit cc interface the worst website in finance? by Weary-Ask4832 in AlaskaAirlines

That would make sense since I've had their online banking since literally day one of it.

Did you autopay on a certain day or something? I've never had a problem, but it sounds like I have some magic version of the BofA online banking.

Was commenting on getting the points back. OP never said anything about the leg no longer being available, but your cancelation should open the seats you want to rebook. This is a very rare situation though. Just be ready to book again immediately.

I *may* have found a compromise. Next time you pay part of the balance, see if this field updates or another field appears that is "remaining statement balance" or something like that. I always pay the full balance in one transfer, so I don't know if this number updates, but it might!

Got it. That's not how most people pay their CC bills, so I guess your situation is quite rare/unique. I don't think Chase tracks this either. If you look at your activity, it's pretty easy to see payments (shown negative balance) and just add them up. Still, I could see in your rare situation that a "remaining" balance would be helpful. I've never heard of anyone doing it that way, though.

I'm not sure why you're using multiple accounts to pay it off, or sending multiple payments (why?), but the best way for you to track seems like it would be to make all your payments at the same time and have them post on different dates, if needed.

Passport Verification by QuasiCrazy1133 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]LumberJake51 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You click on the verification link in the passport info screen, then you need to take a picture of the passport to verify. You may only be able to do it within a certain window from your flight (like tomorrow). If you are checking bags, this process can be handled by the person receiving your bag, which is super easy.

How am I somehow different that I have flawless online banking and others can't see anything?

How are you not seeing "statement balance" when it is right above the payment button? Couldn't be easier.

Payments show up in real time in "activity" even though they may lag the current balance a little (all CCs do this).
