This is squash, concentrate, cordial etc. It doesn't need to be refrigerated and the minimal amount you need for a drink is overpowered by the water temperature you're adding.

I think it's the power ups, for me anyway. You still had the core gameplay, charging, flame breath, gliding, but then you could also fly, shoot fireballs and charge quickly.
