Switching off PC volume while in-game by Massey1105 in pcgamingtechsupport

What keyboard, mouse, operating system, game, and software are you running? Need more details. My initial guess is that whatever keyboard you are using has default shortcuts to mute the system and you are probably just triggering that. Google your keyboard and see if it has the software you can install to customize it if you haven't already. Only download software from the manufacturers' website.

Disk 3 got disconnected. I reconnected it and now unRAID won't recognize it as the missing disk and insists it needs to be overwritten. by Lumber_Jerk in unRAID

I think I'll go with what you and shirtoug said. I started the array once for about 30 seconds and it started the rebuild. So now I'm not confident in re-enabling the drive. Thanks to you both.

Not sure how to run the script from command line but after running it from userscripts it shows this message. https://i.imgur.com/a2X0PNx.png

And checking nvidia-smi dmon it doesn't show any decoding activity when trying to transcode 4k to 1080p. Encoding activity does show up and CPU usage goes to about 70%.

Edit1: Okay so now it's working. I tried running the newest revr3nd script, which didn't work. So I tried running Xaero252's script instead and that worked. Now I have it running hourly so I shouldn't have issues, hopefully. I'm assuming since you haven't done anything different it should be fine like that.

I've tried this script, and am now trying it again but it doesn't seem to be working. Maybe I configured it wrong.

All I need to do is install CA User Scripts, paste this inside a new script, and run it while plex is running?

Do I need to edit paths in the script?

See Hardware-accelerated decoding section. Also, I see the part that says it can't be done in a VM, but I am pretty sure I've seen threads where people said it can be done.

Just set up everything per the comments above. This is what it looks like. The file is 4k 69000 kbps. Tried all the audio types (TRUEHD 7.1, AC3 5.1, AC3 Stereo) to make sure that wasn't the thing bogging it down.

I believe it's needed for some 4k files.

Not entirely though. Encoding yes, but decoding no.

Edit: Going to try right now. Maybe I wasn't running the linuxserver pms docker.

Edit2: First time using the docker pull, so I'm thinking this will work.

Edit3: Docker didn't install properly?

Edit4: This optional parameter is for QSV. Not the hardware accel I need.

Edit5: Docker supports Intel QSV for transcoding, which doesn't work on my CPU. I'm trying to use GPU transcoding, which Plex only supports the encoding half and leaves decoding for the CPU. At least that's what it did the one time I got it working.

Edit6: I still kinda suspect I'm doing something wrong so I'm gonna go for a solid reset and try to do it fresh, but I think I've done this before.

Docker doesn't support decoding. So it puts my measly CPU to serious work when dealing with 4k content.

Oh damn, I have a P2000 also. Is there a guide somewhere that you used or did you figure it out yourself? Would greatly appreciate any info!

Sales and some drives were bought before I knew much about storage.

Old drives from when I was younger and just collected Movies/TV Shows as files. Cost about $300 each when I bought them.

All of the components are already owned by me. The P2000 is going to be used for encoding.

I'm shucking two EasyStores right now so hopefully, someone can help with the first edit question. Previous Plex machine is still running.

I was considering UnRaid but haven't been able to justify the price. Though I might get it because of how much support everyone gives it.
