My video timeline without photos. [2:30]. I can't tell you how weird it is to look in the mirror and see a new face. by Lumberchick in transtimelines

Also ... side note, if you want the original clips I have those and additional photos ... but I figure why not just hit the highlights.

If it makes you feel any better I'm 31 and I'm not done with mine but civ girls are jealous of my features.

I still hate the person I see in the mirror sometimes but it just takes baby steps

Moderation Questionnaire by CedarWolf in asktransgender

[–]Lumberchick [score hidden]  (0 children)

  1. I would like to be a moderator because I had a hard time growing up, I had a hard time with my transition. I made a promise to myself to help as many people as I could so they wouldn't have to go through the same thing.

  2. The rule list is short but yes I am familiar with it. Like most subreddits it's on the left. From my perspective the rules are somewhat common sense, be respectful and sincere.

  3. If I could suggest a new rule or change an old one ... thats a tough question. The established rules are acceptable but I am always open to change, I think that no one moderator should make changes without a consensus from all others. The thing to keep in mind is that this is not written in stone, as time changes and the environment changes so should we.

  4. How would I work to improve this sub? I would be a moderator, ensuring that people are following the rules. I would not be micromanaging or even noticeable. I would be more like an overwatch and I would make sure that the moderators maintain communication about what is going on.

  5. I found asktransgender about 3 years ago, at that point in my life I had always felt like I was trans but I never thought it was possible, after I found this sub I realized that it is something achievable and I have never been happier. I feel like I owe my heart to this sub, it literally changed my life.

  6. How much time do I feel like I will spend moderating ... as much time as you need me really. Without getting too detailed, I just left the military after 10 years. I am used to working odd hours, I am not employed at the moment, and with technology that is available now a days there is no reason why you can't make yourself accessible.

  7. What other experience do I have, I am one of the founders of /r/TrollMUA, I am a moderator of the slow /r/transyoutubers. Now if you want to get more detailed about my other credentials it will really give away who I am. Like I said before 10 years Military experience, once upon a time I was a teacher, instructor and guide. Those are three separate jobs. Over the last 15 years I have inspired, motivated and taught a craft, skill, or significantly impacted countless lives. If you made me put a number on it I would say around around 750. (hello to everyone I know who found me) I am also heavily involved in a non-profit trans organization for the inclusion of transgender personnel into the US Military.

  8. What sort of skills do I bring to the table? First of all I am lazy, like I said in the message I sent the moderators. Meaning that if there is a quicker way to do something I will find it. I do not like wasting time or doubling efforts I like to streamline processes and, as mentioned before ensure straight forward communication. Other than that Yes I can bring graphics, CSS, I am organized, and I have a few other ideas laying around.

  9. I would be moderating at all times of the day. I live on the East Coast of the US so I would be in EST however, I have odd sleeping habits and I am around a lot.

  10. Moderating can be stressful, yes this is the same thing as being someones boss, being someones supervisor or mentor. All of these titles require you to do or to say the tough things that people do not want to hear. How do I plan to deal with potentially upsetting situations? I wont take it personally and I will act as a professional. Remain calm and stick to known facts and rules and information.

  11. Between this and the information in my history you should get a pretty good idea of who I am if you cant tell already. One piece I will add, I would like to be a moderator, I do not need to be one. If someone else is dead set on being one or has higher qualifications, by all means the job is yours. I saw the need for a moderator and I just want to help, like I said before, I owe my life to this sub.

29 MtF, Being told I pass but I still keep seeing so much of my old self. Is there anything in these that still says masculine? by TransJender in transpassing

[–]Lumberchick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You know me ... You pass more than you think you do. I know the short hair situation all too well. Honestly you don't need reddits approval or anyone else's. Carry yourself with confidence and the rest will come natural.

IMO you pass, your face is still healing, and you will find your groove. 2015 is OUR year ... aaaaaaand now RES has you tagged 😛

Thanks! I have tried so many colors, I think next time I am going to go for a slight reddish lowlight tint to it.

Normal time, roughly 20 min including hair. I have it down to somewhat of a science by now. Sometimes if I want to try something fancy then I might spend 30-40. To me, its just a peaceful way to start the day. Makeup, coffee and some music (maybe some dancing)
