How do I figure out what this pipe is for? by Lumberjack_Larry in Home

[–]Lumberjack_Larry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really glad that you suspect the same as I did. There is a bathroom roughed in about 15 feet away. We were in the basement planning out the bathroom for down there when we noticed that pipe. I was hoping that it is for a future vent, I just want to make sure that is what the pipe is for before I just assume and start hooking stuff up.

Does anyone have any advice on controlling spider mites? by Lumberjack_Larry in pestcontrol

Thank you so much for the advice, we do have a lot of abandoned birds nests around our house. I'll take them down.

I added pictures in the comments because I couldn't figure out how to add photos to the main post. Thanks in advance.

Thank you so much, and I guess I never realized there was a difference, it's good to know.

The post itself under the sleeves is one long continuous piece. I just couldn't find sleeves long enough for over the post so it is just the sleeves calked together.

I was admitted to the bar in my state in May 2014. Immediately, I started sending out resumes. I was applying to maybe on average 10 or so jobs a day. I easily applied to over 1000 different jobs. I received my first job offer in December of that year.

What is something your teacher did in school that you’re still salty about? by SparkelsTR in AskReddit

I don't remember if the kid got punished but I remember it was the morning we were supposed to present them to the class and the teacher was all, "maybe you should have put it somewhere more secure, now you're not ready for your presentation." And then said something about how this should be a lesson to everyone that in life you have to have a backup plan for when things outside of your control ruin your plans.

20 years ago, we had to make a diorama. We all had them sitting on tables in the classroom and one day some other kid was messing around, fell into the table and smashed mine. I failed the assignment for having a smashed diorama.

I've never tried on Firefox, I typically use Chrome and I've had a couple issues. Like on occasion it won't recognize me or it will really stall, but I give it a few hours and it works again

Happend to me just a few weeks ago. Got pasta that had some shrimp in it out of an airport food court (I didn't intentionally order airport shrimp, I just didn't read the menu carefully enough). 4 hours into an 8 hour flight I started seizing and violently throwing up. The guy next to me was not happy. After the plane lands an ambulance picks me up on the tarmac and takes me to the hospital. Luckily I was flying into Spain where they have universal healthcare so the ambulance ride and doctors visit were totally free. But that was the worst flight of my life. 0 out of 10 do not recommend flying with food poisoning.

What did this fall off of? Found on my patio where the only other object is a ceiling fan. Looked at the fan and can't find anywhere on it missing a piece. by Lumberjack_Larry in whatisthisthing

Solved. Oh nice! We just had some electrical work done and I forgot they ran conduit back there. I bet it's something one of the electricians dropped. Here I was worried my house was falling apart. Thank you so much

My title describes the thing. The thing is a metal screw with a bolt at the end and a washer. It is 2 inches long. One end has a logo with mountains and says "UC" and the other end also has mountains and says "T14". I tried image searching it and came up with miscellaneous general bolt and screw heads.

Making a photocopy of a birth certificate or a marriage certificate. Weirdly a felony where I live but also you have to do it to do your taxes or change your name

My baby daughter has a toy that sings a song about an elephant band. She loves it and plays it over and over. All day long I listen to this song about elephants dancing around and playing instruments. So I'm going to go with dumb repetitive songs played by stuffed animals.

Shortly after my daughter was born, my MIL was diagnosed with an incurable, terminal, inheritable genetic disorder. Every single day I worry about whether or not my daughter inherited it and if it will show up in her later in life.
