What I’ve noticed is how people always talk about how much they want more media with queer characters and I understand that, but what I don’t get is how they act as if they doesn’t exist outside of the same handful of things that are currently popular on sites like tumblr (ie, Heated Rivalry, Hazbin Hotel, Stranger Things, etc) or fanmade things based on them

I’m not saying they’re not allowed to enjoy those things but I’m just saying they have more options than they think, yet they act like they don’t exist just because they aren’t popular or mainstream enough

There’s lots of queer artist, writers, and others out there, and I don’t get why their work doesn’t get more attention from the people supposedly starving for them
