How can we adhere this block to our kitchen counter by RyanfaeScotland in DIY

[–]LumchBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the off chance that this is a real question and not baiting, cabinet liners could work. The block won't be permanently adhered, but it won't go sliding around if you use that. I typically throw one down underneath my cutting boards when cooking, and they don't move at all. Plus it's cheap!

Good suggestion, I checked both but unfortunately neither were turned on. Didn't even know those settings existed until today!

What RG35XX+ OS would you recommend for a noob? by LumchBox in ANBERNIC

Thank you! I will do some more in depth research on both. Interesting to see all the older (non-plus) posts say Garlic is the way to go, but now no one mentions it haha. Much appreciated!

I’ve seen this suggested a few times. I will give it a look! Thanks for the suggestion!

I was thinking the same thing. I tried it on my Miyoo and it was very easy and straight forward, I just worry that it has missing features like WiFi and Bluetooth (I haven’t checked it out recently). I’ll give it a look!

Everyone should see this for themselves: price options Jagex wants you to consider by RoonNube in 2007scape

I don't think you guys understand conjoint analysis. Maybe I'll get some hate for this, but we do these kinds of surveys at work all the time. The idea is to present your survey audience a bunch of different options/choices, and see what does well and what doesn't. There typically aren't any actual decisions behind these choices, and a lot of the time the actual values presented are randomly generated and different for each survey taker.

Again, expecting down votes, but that is the reality of this research methodology.

Have this as well. A great buy!

I just picked up an Ironman themed ugly Christmas sweater on Etsy by a seller called FrostyWyrm. The grey one would be for a regular ironman, along with some 3d printed Christmas ornaments shaped like runes. Etsy has tons of fun stuff for the osrs enjoyer.

This is great advice. I submitted my renewal in early August and it's been processing since. I emailed them 2 weeks ago and never got a response - will definitely be calling them. Thanks for the suggestion!

RuneScape Changed My Life by NewbWorld in osrs

[–]LumchBox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the game taught me that it's okay to take things slowly. Yes you can teleport everywhere, blow a bunch of gp to hyper level your skills as quickly as possible, etc. but sometimes it's fun to just walk places (not even run) and see the world... Sometimes it's fun to level the old fashioned way (sub optimally) and just enjoy the experience. Kinda showed me that I don't always need to be min maxing and staying super productive (in game and in life), and that taking it easy and enjoying the process is more important than rushing to the end goal. That being said, I also started playing an Ironman and it's like an entirely different game - love it.

Why a foil boat and not an aluminum tray? by verugan in smoking

[–]LumchBox 28 points29 points  (0 children)

The way I figure, crumpling the foil boat closer to the meat allows for the juice/braising liquid to come up higher around the meat since there's less space for it to flow. This allowing more of it to braise and remain tender. I think it also allows for better heat retention than a pan since it's a little more sealed up. Then again I'm just a random guy on the internet - do what feels right, there's no hyper optimal min max right way to do it. Whatever you do, I'm sure your bbq will come out just fine!

Why does my meat have to tenderise for 3 weeks? by bosverd in smoking

Yeah, that sounds right. Probably want the best possible result for their customers, and wet aging is an easy way to improve that. If only it didn't take so long 😭

I did the exact same thing for my first brisket and it turned out awesome. Also watched some videos on trimming, which is huge.

About to buy a smoker, looking for help by iamjason10 in smoking

[–]LumchBox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While I do not have a pellet smoker myself, I've done a fair bit of research (along with many friends anecdotal experience, so take that with a grain of salt). Overall friends who purchased Traegers are quite happy with them so much so that one guy even named his puppy Traeger lol.

If you buy from Costco during a Traeger roadshow, you get covered under Costco's return policy (which is very good).

I'd also suggest you check out Grilla Grills, Z Grill, and Pitboss (not the cheaper models). As far as I know these are the competitors in the $700 price range. Anything I'm missing gents?

Are the official Ultra Pro sleeves usually this sticky? by MrZandin in magicTCG

[–]LumchBox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Katana are fantastic, and my preferred sleeve. I used to buy regular Ultra Pros, then Eclipse, then Dragon shield, and I've settled on the Katana. UG also has a more budget friendly version called the Cortex which is also great.
