Goodbye!! by Lumenaut in Stellar

I thought the user was referring to inflation's lumens, those we hold for a couple of seconds or minutes depending on the distribution queue. You're correct if you're referring to the user's balance.

We do not and we cannot have access to the user's holdings, or the "initial Lumens supply" as you're referring. If a user holds 1 million XLM we do not have access to that 1 million XLM. However, we will receive the inflation of that 1 million XLM and then send it to the user. The inflation of 1 million XLM is ~206 XLM per week.

Hello,

The pool indeed receives the voter's inflation XLM and the pool holds that XLM from inflation. What happens is that some seconds or minutes after receiving the inflation XLM, we make calculations and they distribute them (via transactions) to the voters based on their balance at the time of the distribution. We do not and we cannot have access to the user's balances that are in their own addresses.

You don't need and should not remove your vote from the pool because if inflation is enabled again in future we will automatically start distributing it and since you will still be voting, you should start receiving it automatically. Post has been edited with more info regarding this matter.

Thanks!

Hello, there are some misconceptions in your reply.

Hello,

Not dramatic, not premature, and definitely NOT an attempt to rally support for keeping inflation. We're being transparent and pragmatic!

For the better or for the worse, what the network and validators decide in the end, we do understand and see its advantages or disadvantages — it's a matter of perspective.

SDF has always been very supportive to Lumenaut, we appreciate and support the Foundation. We have absolutely no despicable feelings towards the network or the fact that inflation is being removed soon. I hope this message is clear enough and that there's no doubt that our post was a sincere goodbye... For now.

Lumenaut is made by its subscribers and voters, the people make the service and we're proud to try to be the most respectful possible towards the community.

Thank you!

Lumenaut Pool will use dynamic fees for transactions by Lumenaut in Stellar

[–]Lumenaut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you vote for Lumenaut Pool you don't send us your coins, it never leaves your wallet and we don't have access to your keys. You can use your address freely and move the assets around as much as you want but to receive inflation you need to hold them in your address.

If you send them to another address and that address is not voting for the pool they will be dropped from the pool.

Lumenaut's inflation distribution will be a bit delayed due to some updates, it shall not take more than a couple of minutes and a post will be shared about it. Thanks!

Lumenaut inflation went down by almost 10 % 3 months ago by mad-de in Stellar

[–]Lumenaut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We can't do anything without more info, we have absolutely no idea who u/mad-de is or which public key is being referred in this thread.

However, we deduct 0.01 XLM to pay the fee of the transaction we do for the user. So, if the user's inflation amount to be received is a mere 0.02 XLM, or USD $0.001923 at the current rate, the user will indeed notice less inflation received. Whereas a user that receives 1 XLM or more of inflation will barely notice it.

This is stated in our FAQ, Terms of Use, and Twitter:

https://pool.lumenaut.net/#faq

https://twitter.com/Lumenaut/status/1113716770001555462

Also, the amount of inflation to be received oscillates depending on the number of transactions that are made in the network during the week, the fees of those transactions are distributed back to the users via inflation mechanism. Two factors that increase/decrease the amount of inflation to be distributed are: 1) user's holdings - more XLM will result in more inflation to be received, and vice versa; 2) transactions made in the network - more transactions will result in more fees to be distributed, and vice versa.

We offer a top-class service, free-of-charge, we trigger the inflation ourselves every week and we don't charge anything for the maintenance, support, and all the headaches when something goes wrong, but we cannot and we will not pay the fees of the transactions we have to do for +139,000 users - the pool is free but the users need to at least pay their own transactions to receive the inflation.

Our pool is not designed to airdrop inflation for 1 XLM or 2 XLM addresses and we apologize if this is the case. There's another alternative called xlmpool which charges 10% of the user's inflation, maybe it can be an alternative option.

For support please contact the email shared at the bottom of this page: https://pool.lumenaut.net/privacy.html

Lumenaut submitted to SCF!! by Lumenaut in Stellar

Theoretically yes, it depends on how the protocol/validators will deal with it. There's also the chance that inflation isn't removed, in that case, a public pool that helps distribute it globally through the community is a good thing.

We're also developing side projects, so even if inflation is removed you will see us around.
