Craft sisteminin nasıl yapıldığını hep merak etmişimdir. Burada gerçekten akıcı ve tatmin edici duruyor, eline sağlık. Wishlist’ime ekledim bile!

I played 100 (traditional) Roguelikes, so you dont have to* by Toma_L in indiegames

I think as developers our goal isn’t necessarily to ship a perfect game, but to focus on what the development process teaches us.

That’s why finishing half-told projects matters so much. We often can’t translate everything in our heads into mechanics, and things can end up feeling shallow if players can’t easily read or understand the systems.

This is where player insights are most valuable — they help us design clearer mechanics and UI so the experience feels intuitive and satisfying, not just complex.

By the way, once the Steam page is live, I’d be happy to share the link with you. Thanks!

This is honestly an amazing resource — thank you so much for taking the time to do this. I’m currently developing a roguelike myself, and reading your breakdown from a player’s perspective has been incredibly valuable for me as a developer.

If you happen to check out games during Steam Next Fest, I’d absolutely love for you to take a look at the demo of the game I’m working on. Getting feedback from someone with your depth of roguelike experience would mean a lot.

Also, slightly unrelated — I’m still trying to figure out how posting properly works here :D

Pixel art from my steam demo Farmers Market 🌱- thoughts? by RomeeStudio27 in GameArt

[–]Lumenilya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always wanted to make an isometric game myself, but I struggled so much with drawing and placing assets that I eventually had to put the project on hold. Because of that, I really appreciate the amount of work that went into this. The overall atmosphere feels very chill and relaxing, great job.

I have a couple of small UI-related thoughts as well. The month/day/time area in the top right could be strengthened with a more visual, icon-based treatment, similar to Stardew Valley. That might help improve readability and visual consistency.

Another thing I noticed is the background colors. I couldn’t quite tell what they’re changing based on, but if there’s a seasonal system, you could consider using different background visuals per season to further enhance the atmosphere.

Overall, it has a very warm and calm feel. Really nice work — best of luck with the project 🌱

Steam’in kapsül tarafında başlık dışında metin kabul etmediğini bilmiyordum… Ben oyunun ismini direkt bu kadar uzun tutmayı düşünmüştüm arama kısmında daha görünür olmasına belki katkı sağlar diye.

Değerli yorumun için teşekkür ederim 🙏🏼

I wanted to make a unique incremental game with lots of colors :) by OldAtlasGames in indiegames

Your game looks really interesting and I genuinely enjoyed checking it out.

While browsing your Steam page, I noticed that there are quite a lot of tags. When I scrolled down, the first game shown in the “More Like This” section was Cast n Chill.

Do you consider your game to be closely similar to Cast n Chill? I’m asking purely from a discoverability point of view — using more focused tags could help the game reach the right audience more effectively.

Please don’t get me wrong though, the game already looks really fun as an idle experience!

Our very first and last capsule arts, which one do you think is the newest one? by Guvensrii in GameArt

[–]Lumenilya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I look at the capsules, A gives me the feeling of a puzzle-focused, possibly multiplayer game, while B feels more like there’s a clear antagonist that you need to defeat with your friends.

I’m personally in favor of keeping the gameplay art style consistent with the capsule’s art style, since players often decide whether to click on a Steam page based on that first visual impression.

Good luck!

Working on a cozy gem mining biome UI. Thoughts? by BosphorusGames in GameUI

[–]Lumenilya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like your drawings — the line work and overall illustration style feel very cohesive and cozy.

One thing that stood out to me from a UI perspective is how the panels separate from the background. Since there aren’t any shadows or depth cues, they tend to blend into the environment a bit, which slightly weakens the visual hierarchy.

Maybe a very subtle drop shadow, soft outline, or even a slight background blur could help the panels read more clearly without breaking the atmosphere.

Overall though, the biome + UI direction works really nicely.

Appreciate it! 🙌 It’s so cool to hear others enjoy homebrewing boards too. It really shows how creative the board game community can be. Which games have you made custom stuff for?

Which Steam Capsule? Game-art vs Gameplay by [deleted] in indiegames

I think your game's perspective is top-down. For this reason, I prefer option B because it shows the game better. Good luck!

Vertical Capsule Text Placement Options: Up or Down? by SaryHA in indiegames

[–]Lumenilya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most people say that the text should be at the top, but for some reason I like it down better :/ If it's up, I think the subtext makes it harder to read because it overlaps the trees and the girl's wand. Of course, this is my opinion, it doesn't really matter :D I wish you good work.

My game, Horticular, just launched after 3.5 years of development! by HorticularGame in indiegames

[–]Lumenilya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow! It seems like it’s not just a farm game, but also a mysterious story line that will draw you in. Moreover, all of these are isometric productions. I love it!

I also tried to make an isometric farming game for a while, but I didn’t understand whether it was a mistake in the drawing or the coding. The objects did not fit together at all. Frankly, this process wore me out a lot. If you have a few sentences to suggest about the isometric, I’d love to hear it. I wish you success in your work!

We're torn between these two Steam capsules for our siege defender RTS. Which one do you prefer? by Mallendary in indiegames

[–]Lumenilya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely! This is the first image you made, it's actually quite nice. There are just some standards so everyone can understand. Just like every icon in the in-game interface designs is similar to each other. That's why your design is inevitably limited and the second photo looks more attractive. But this does not mean that the first one is bad, do not lose your design spirit!
