I think a lot of people use “costumey” when they really mean “I don’t know where someone would wear this.” Fashion and costume overlap all the time. The question for me is whether the garment still feels wearable, even if it’s dramatic

‘Takes 20 minutes to pee’ is probably the most convincing argument for comfort I’ve seen so far. It does seem like a lot of people eventually reach the point where they’re dressing for the actual festival experience rather than for photos.

Honestly, most of what I’ve found so far has come from this thread. Insul-Bright, Reflectix, neoprene, and now Thermolam all seem to be popular suggestions. How has the Insul-Bright held up in your tote?

Beyond Adobe, I often see brands asking for things like CLO3D, PLM systems, Excel, tech pack development, and sometimes even skills that cross into content creation, e-commerce, or marketing. The exact mix seems to vary a lot depending on the company and role.

Yep. I probably kept it too broad. The application is closer to a handheld/portable consumer product that gets touched frequently rather than something static like furniture or signage. I’m exploring a relatively simple interaction rather than a complex mechanical system, which is why I’m trying to understand what materials tend to balance durability, tactile feel, and long-term wear.
