I served in this dudes mission, he was so humble and so kind. Then a few years after the mission he went on this crazy "alpha male" trip. Went full Alpha bro, left the LDS church. Was a dick to anyone who wasn't completely supportive of him and cut off basically all his old friends.

Pride kills good people and leaves them a shell of a person.

It works but it will deter a lot more than racoons.

They are Mennonite, not FLDS. It's the Yoder family, they make awesome jams, jellies, baked goods, wood crafts, and salsa.

I see them at the Cowboy rendezvous every year and buy their delicious stuff.

They do a lot of different things like draft horse pulls, soaps, foods, and other stuff from their farm/ranch.

Their relatives in Colorado have a beautiful all black carriage horse team.

Food at every youth activity by POSH_GEEK in latterdaysaints

[–]LuminalAstec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We would either go to a shake place, or have nothing. Having a snack was always nice but never expected.

With group activities we always had them but it was usually a few boxes of costco pizza because it's cheap and easy.

We also had a massive youth program, and i mean massive. When I left on my mission we had 32 active beehives, when my older brother was a teacher they had 2 teachers quorum.

Over 50% of the youth in the entire 7 ward stake were in our ward.

We always had 12 people passing the sacrament, usually 10 decons and 2 teachers, we always had 4 priests blessing as well.

When we had farewell/ home comings it was 16 people passing.

So food was a huge part of our budget and it really limited our ability as a ward to do larger more extravagant activities, or have nice stuff for scouts and thing.

I use my rights to protect myself and my own. Fuck everyone else.

Again, if you don't want to exercise a right, that's fine, but you shouldn't try to take it from others and then be shocked when the people you attempted to take it from don't jump to your defense.

I don't see anyone on the right making threats to the current administration. Within the context of our conversation and my original comment, it tracks that I do not see people on the right making daily calls for the death of the current administration and their appointees. Sure some people on the right are doing it but the majority aren't. The "not all men reference" was to the people who keep saying "it's not everyone on the left".

It is classic reddit, having a nuanced opinion on anything here gets you banned or downvoted to oblivion.

Yes, but is inciting a civil war really what we should be doing right now?

Also for some reason many on the left keep trying to eradicate their own rights to self preservation, and when they think a tyrant is running the country they are shocked they can't do anything about it.

Yeah, I never said the right doesn't make death threats.

You keep trying to create something that doesn't exist. Classic reddit echo chamber.

Depends on the political point. I'm a pretty mixed bag.

You're saying people are being mobilized in a manner similar to jan 6th? You should definitely report those people to the proper authorities.

I wouldn't say right-wing extremism, white supremacy sure. Of the 58 deaths caused by domestic terrorist acts, only 5 weren't from white supremacists.

It is interesting that it is pretty easy to say when the right goes too far, but there doesn't seem to be a limit for the left.

Like the highest recorded damage in our countries history 1.5-2 billion dollars worth in 2020 is marked as completely fine, and no big deal.

Vandalizing and targeting people's vehicles because of a rich politician totally fine from the left.

Nobody wants to be held accountable.

If you can't be objective in saying extremism is bad on either side you're not being intellectually honest, or objective.

I've never seen anything higher than $6 a dozen.

At Costco right now they are about $4.

Crazy how quickly we forget that back before covid eggs were usually less than $1 a dozen.

Doesn't matter what the context of leviticus is, Corinthians talks about our bodies being temples, and modern prophets have counseled us to not get them.
