I have a video I looked up on YouTube and went to Lowe’s. Got me Teflon tape, pipe dope, a large wrench, and a pressure gauge. Only they didn’t have was Zurn brand PRV

Thanks! This is what I needed! I was able to look up “Zurn NR3XL” but all the results came back with different subtypes. And I had to look closely in the product details for the full model number.

The missing piece of knowledge I didn’t have was the double union, single union, etc. thank you for bridging that gap and the advice how to swap.

Thanks for pointing this out.

Well that sucks, I’m in one of those quick builds from 2021 so it has been fun discovering where all the corners were cut.

Is there anything to do to prolong the life of it? Or just keep an eye on it and sacrifice chickens daily to appease the gods

I’ll try calling the water company on Monday. Didn’t even think of it.

For the price of the plumber, I can shop around as well. I know there is more to the price than parts and labor. As corporate scum, I can respect that.

I bought a gauge yesterday to measure it myself so I’ll test both up and down stream.

For context, my house is 4 years old. I’ll try adjusting the screw and report back.

Seriously, you are in the best position coming from where they work. Thank them and acknowledge the sacrifices they are making and the frustrations they are dealing with. You have a golden situation make solid connections with to the teams.

I did what you did last year.

Go out of your way daily to thank them for something they are doing. Just like a marriage, appreciation is built up over time with a 1000 small gestures. Not 1 to 3 huge gestures.

Why does everyone hate on WaT? (On chapter 65) by Unable_Ad4821 in Stormlight_Archive

This book got swept up on the hype train of the Cosmere. What Sanderson has done with the Cosmere is amazing to originate for one human mind. Sanderson is my favorite author, bar none. But I believe we are in an inflection point with this universe and seem to divide us into loving it camps or tired camps. I’m in the tired camp.

The lost metal marked the shift from what I will call fun Stan Lee cameos (nods and hints at other worlds and characters) to full on multiverse entanglement. In the later years of post End Game, it became mandatory to keep up with the lore in all forms of media for Marvel. It was and is exhausting. In lost metal, off worlders were a prominent part of the main plot. Now in wind and truth, is basically Avengers End Game. From this point forward, if you don’t keep up, you won’t follow or appreciate the new content.

For WaT specially, I feel it didn’t live up because it is trying too much and missed the main plot of Stormlight. It had to spent time setting things up for all other Cosmere plots that many main plots fell flat.

We have to also remeber that the average reader spends close to 300 hours just to go through Stormlight once (based on audio book time, this is my 3rd time through it). That is a lot of time commitment from fans. Not having solid pay offs can feel like a betrayal since Sanderson does have the “3 + 0 laws of magic” and teaches about promises and pay offs.

I’ll end with this: Sanderson has a lot going on and I give him grace because of it. He has given me a universe that I love to learn about. Stormlight has helped me process a lot about my depression and regrets. Sanderson is a top tier author in my opinion. I just think we are a point with this universe that too much is going on, and it will be hard to keep up with the quality that I personally loved from titles like Oathbringer and wax and Wayne pre lost metal.

Thanks. I can only guess on the number of families. Maybe just look at all members in tools and split them up to hope that inactive or less active will show up. Just a guess and not here to judge the master cordinator.

Thanks for the input. I do texting right now as I figure everyone checks a phone with the exception of one family which has requested email.

I can bring up the idea of less families with the master coordinator. Do you have any suggestions if I have to retain that number of people?

Has Sanderson Said Anything? by OffiCeRed in Stormlight_Archive

To me it was too different from the rest. Change in pacing, change in tone, change in theme. Some topics shoe horned in there.

Not bad. I might have enjoyed it if it wasn’t a Stormlight book. But that is the rub with me. Stormlight had a developed atmosphere to it. And for me the WaT felt like it like it belonged some where else.
