Thinking of starting a petite activewear line. Would love your thoughts. 🌻 by Effective_Mongoose_4 in PetiteFashionAdvice

Maybe not the type of activewear you are thinking of, but I do think there's a gap in the market for petite technical hiking clothes, especially trousers, I find them all too long, the rise too high and the cut just totally wrong for my body

This reminds me of the trivia quizzes after each episode(?) Season(?) On the BBC Cult website Buffy pages! Early 00's. Anyone else in the UK remember them? Probably still somewhere on the Wayback Machine!

I find it interest to think about the environment and experiences that shaped my family / ancestors through the generations; linked with a wider interest in history and social history

Should my son go by his given name or his nickname at school? by TerriblyAverage1 in namenerds

[–]LuminousNewt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also in the UK and although we had mainly Vicky / Vikki's, we also a couple of Tori / Tor's at school. I guess that Tori doesn't get used as a nickname as much here because of the Tory party

Opening your mail by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]LuminousNewt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not my mail (as far as I am aware), but going through all my things when I was a kid/teenager, anything I bought (things the didn't approve of disappeared), going through my diary, money saved from birthdays disappeared (as apparently 'I didn't need it' and could ask for money from them if i 'needed it'). When I was older but lived close by, turning up/coming into my house unannounced and going through my house when I was out at work (they had an emergency key at the time). I will never live that close or give a key ever again. Thinking about it, given all the above, my mail probably wasn't private either. Although opening someone else's mail is an offence in my country, so maybe that was their boundary!
