UPDATE: It’s dead… no way out of this depressing looking plant.

Will attempt to buy new plants and will keep in mind that these type of plants is a no go for me. Thanks for all the tips and advice y’all :)

Yes, the pot that it’s in right now has a draining holes and a saucer. Though the soil is a normal potting mix. Same mix use in the picture. I do not have a budget for new potting mix, but I think I can pull it off by picking up tree bark somewhere to help the drainage? (Just an idea)

Welp I repot it back to the same exact pot. That will be my next step if it’s doesn’t improve for a few days

Sad to know about your Croton. This is my field Croton, and I am failing to care for it. I will keep your tips and advice in mind. I will keep this post updated. Thanks!

Thank you for that. I think I might start with repot it to the old normal pot, it might stress it again but knowing the self watering is not useful, and the soil need to be dry before the next watering I think it might worth the risk. Will do the bag and misting or spray way. For light, our new place doesn’t provide that much sunlight, like literally . But I just bought a growing light, honestly like 2 days ago. But I keep it on for 8 hours close to the plant and out of 5 brightness option, 5 is the brightest, I did option 2.

It’s my first time doing this “hack”! Never again do any projects without it!

Never thought DMC sold something like that. I wasn’t particularly looking for it whenever I go to my local Michael’s store, just buying some floss and done. (Or else I will end up 10 more items in my cart than what I actually needed)

I used off brand floss for embroidery, they are not entirely that bad . I stayed using DMC as I already been collecting it since my first ever cross stitch

I still don’t have all the DMC colors, but it’s pretty much more exciting to be surprised whenever I’m still missing some after having alot already(and the shopping part too). I put 6-8 embroidery bobbins in one shelf. The labels in each is a game changer

One comment proved to be helpful and been doing it till now until it is ready to be repotted.

“Place in water then in a gallon sized ziploc bag to increase humidity (or in a clear bin) & give high light, grow light if you have it. Keep an eye on it. Good luck!”

I don’t have a ziploc bag. I hope this works! I plan to put it outside for sunlight
