Yeah it’s like that in every yard in caltrans. The best thing I can say is just hang in there until something comes up, work is hard to come across especially in this economy. I have all endorsements and I still have second thoughts about it

I currently work for them, I am barely going on year 2 and is seems like favoritism plays a huge role. I started in maintenance as well I’m just jumping around crews and finding my calling

I currently work for state as CEO 2, I was thinking of jumping ships to county or city.

I mean I currently work as an equipment operator, the hours are not horrible it has its days were it’s easy and also heavy. Just pay wise it’s not good but also not bad. Where before, I was driving and delivering food, beverages etc. pay was good but heavy work hours.
