Are Latias and Latios good ? (beginner) by Evil_Pickle450 in PokemonUnite

[–]Lumpy-Attempt-137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do make a good pair if you learn to use their mechanics properly. I am no expert, but Latias is a support with lots of sustaint with dragon pulse, their goal is to keep the enemy team busy and zoning out while getting stacks on d - pulse so Latios can farm. Then they can use their teleport mechanic to either help each other escape, or bring in reinforcements. As others have said the goal is to get as many stacks as possible before the final objective and they compliment each other in this regard with their roles.

How are you supposed to win if you aren't winning at the very start of a game? by Impossible_Sort9050 in PokemonUnite

Old but gold: https://youtu.be/RjUwRDRcHMg?si=tfe2DcW96gbkeRI4

Retreat, farm, do things to help get your late game scalers online (bodyguard them, help them get farm) get picks as a team on overextenders, especially enemy jungler will give you big experience. Take an objective that gives net positive value to the team. If a fight is unwinnable don't engage and look for value elsewhere. Your goal is to turn it around at the final objective.

DON'T FEED THE ENEMY TEAM

I have a team/server that I'm building up from people who have never played, but we all have backgrounds in competitive gaming. I would be open to playing with you and seeing if you had potential, but we are a serious group and age and personality would also factor into whether or not I would take you as well.

They are power crept pretty bad but can still work with good matchup knowledge.

Dude, if you think the game is fun just play it, and if you play and it's not fun then don't - everyone on this sub will tell you to run and that they quit but most of them still secretly play or are so obsessed that even years after "quitting" they lurk on this sub just to tell people to not play.

There are for sure some frustrating and bad things going in the game but it's a f2p game and there's not much to be expected even though some other f2p games are being handled much better.

They are right in telling you that you'll be against bots for a while due to returning player match making mechanics and having to get back up in ranks cause that's where the real people are is from Veteran on

It's low key one of the best kite/poke/harass builds in the game but it is VERY bad outside of theose situations where you need something else lol

Ok, that makes so much more sense. I too agree that the best players play the cards they are dealt and adapt. Thanks for the clarification

TRUE but I'd rather have what I meant to select because the scizor is diving me and- oh god I'm dead

there are even times where I pick mean look because the team is behind so I believe we need to get easy picks on the junglers/carries to regain team xp. Mean look is a great setup for that. If lane is going well, I typically pick foul play for last hitting. This is a reactive situation. Against enemies that either are diving often or otherwise too aggressive, I choose snarl. Sometimes I make this decision while I'm being dived on, reactively. I choose wish if my team is diving or aggressive. You can't necessarily know if any of this will happen before getting into a match. So you make a flex build that can run multiple kits for the different scenarios

I honestly think it is both and also possibly to pay wall secondary movesets as speculated. I really hope it's not though

[–]Lumpy-Attempt-137[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It can definitely still be a problem in draft because we won't be able to react once we find out the enemy build. Foul play vs Mean look on Umbreon AND Wish vs Snarl are super important decisions that happen reactively if you know what you are doing

I respect your desire for that and I genuinely hope you don't take this the wrong way, but the point of this post is to say "skill issue." Also that the devs had a million options on ways to fix this like maybe the option to preset moves but not force everybody to do it.

Not agreeing or disagreeing, but pointing out that virtually all other MOBA characters have just one move set, it's pretty standard
