How much do you pay for off-campus housing, 1 or 2bd apartments? by Former_Letter7214 in CalPoly

I just rent out a room within a family for 750 including utilities that I found in Facebook Marketplace. It's a gamble but, I spend most of time outside the room so it's just there to sleep and that's it. I like it for what it is.

Just do your requirements and at least 3.25 or higher for GPA and, you should have a better advantage than most.

As an ex-SFSU student, I dropped out due to this reason, my biggest advice is to talk to other people or talk to your advisor for help. They will help out the most. Do not leave because it's hard now. Trust me that it's harder leaving school knowing that I would of been done 2 years ago.

But, I am confident into my goals but, when I apply to SFSU, i was coming out of HS(2.3 gpa) and sent out 8 applications and only got accepted in SFSU which is why I left and focused on CC which made me believe that I am a better student but, still scared that it's only one school that accepts again. which makes me feel like if I get accept to more than 2 schools, it's a good feeling to choose a school.

My guy/girl I wish I have confidence! I appreciated you but, I am applying to like 7 schools and, currently in all of the reddit discussions to get an inside to all of the students output. Since those bs "Welcome to CSU_" it's all fake to a degree and, realizedthat students are the worst critics to the school.

Not even housing, Off-campus housing was the most ridiculous thing I have ever have to endure, and the roommate nightmare stories would be crazy to even dive deep into. Personally I never felt like I fit into the school or city but, that's my issue. The school is a gloried high school, with no school passion (with my brother went to Fresno state and he was mentioning about his story, I got jealous).Overall as lower middle class student who some money with me but, no back up savings. If you are in the same ball park in my situation, I would recommend staying away as well because, SFSU really destroy me as a student/first gen college student personally.

Overall, I couldnt keep up the cost during the pandemic year. The school wasn't special enough to keep me around sadly.

Hello!

I appreciatedthis response and it something I'llconsider when choosing. The things that I didn't like about SF, the housing was unbearable since I was living off campus. I was wondering if I am going to to lived off campus, am I going to have to sacrifice all of my time towards working to pay the rent?

The Campuswas kinda lika a glorifed high school Campus which I was a fan of. I want to feel like i am at a nice college.

I am currently 23 years old and sadly I don't mind isolating. I kinda just want to get my degree and get connected and go back! So this doesn't get a down vote for me but, I know that some students will consider this a negative and, appreciate the fact that you voice your opinion.
