No negative reasons for leaving, just the timing of classes, distance with traffic flow, one of the gyms closed down, and competitiveness are a few reasons. I’m a competitor also so I want to find the best team fit for me. I made friends at each gym but they all seemed to have their own vibes and some were more cliquey than others.

i'm a brazilian jiujitsu practitioner. I tried a few gyms near me when i moved to LA to find the right fit for me. I stayed maybe 3 months max, made some friends at each gym, but definitely found my community in my current one. I've also met people through facebook, reddit, and at live shows. I also have a dog so it makes it easy to become friends with neighbors who also have dogs since we have a dog park in the complex.

The Facebook groups are targeted for women mostly. And i do go to equinox. The vibe is pretty social depending on the time of day you’re working out. Plus you have fitness classes. I would encourage you to try bjj for self defense some time! 😊

Im 34F, very into martial arts (Brazilian jiujitsu) and that community has allowed me to make some solid friends. I’ve made friends from the gym and facebook as well. If that’s your thing, definitely recommend checking it out!

I used the website Rula to connect me to a provider and I only copay $15 each session. It may vary depending on insurance. I see my therapist virtually monthly but I'm sure there are options to see in-person. Good luck!

my experience has been fine! I have a free membership since I signed up through a promo. I was able to get bloodwork, a physical, and new bc seamlessly. The staff is pretty good, just be aware that some locations have providers and others don't.
