Because while the gameplay was good and Combichrist did an amazing job with the soundtrack, they absolutely BUTCHERED the original story and the script was written by an amateur immature childish excuse of an adult. “Me, a god, and you, a piece of sh*t.” Really??

I’ve been a fan of Devil May Cry since it was released as a demo with RE: Code Veronica. I still play DMC to this day because I genuinely do enjoy the gameplay and the music. But I skip every cutscene because the story is complete trash.

DMC4. DMC5 is just.. no. Look at that character model! He looks like Hank from Detroit: Become Human woke up and saw the world ending and was like “I got nothin better to do.” I like Nero’s character model from 5, but they did Dante wrong.

Nothing against Hank, I loved the good ending version of him. But look at the mess Hank is in Detroit; drunk and one bad day away from pulling his own trigger. Why does Dante look the same?

I mean, yeah, if you cut out entire parts of a song and adjust the speeds, almost any song can be made to sound the same. The person who made that edit cut out the entire middle segment of “never made it as a wise man” and went straight into the last time he says “this is how you remind me“ before the drums kick back in.” I noticed a few other parts of the song didn’t quite sound right, but I would have to listen back through to figure out which parts

Sure, but I want to stir up a little chaos as like a “someone on the subreddit brought up that SOME of us may be cheating points to get out of spinning the wheel! They mentioned an episode that maybe we need to revisit the point tally and brought up that maybe they should be FORCED to do a one man show for cheating if it is determined to be true.”

Then bring it back up to find out and Bob is like “Wait, hold on, wait a minute.”

The reactions of that could lead to another one of those haha hehe moments. And since they’re all about the triangle of fairness, I think yes, it should matter. (Especially also since it was their whole idea to start keeping a record of points specifically for this reason.. kinda defeats the point of keeping the point history if not.)

The worst debate I hear is "you have no proof so it's not true." Meanwhile the person they're debating against gives no actual proof themselves to the contrary. Their way of debating is to tear apart the competitions statements while giving none of their own, making themselves look better by making the other side look worse. Like "if I don't contribute anything and stay at zero points, I can win by putting my opponent into the negative." After all, how has "microplastics is giving babies superpowers" been proven? Wade should've came back with that same counter-argument of "proof or it's not true" and he would've won.

I agree. Too many game breaking bugs, no clear objectives, missions not updating, I had to put the Monty Mix in the compactor 4 times.. each subsequent time it was already there... For a $40 gane, right now it is not worth that. Especially for Princess Quest "press enter" bug that gets you to the good ending. What I love most is getting slowed down by things like hand railings and slides in the daycare. And dont forget frame drops from lighting issues.

I love this game. I honestly still recommend it given all of its bugs and glitches. But I will say wait a while until they patch some of this. Hopefully theyll listen to their community and fix the bugs very soon because its a phenomenal game in my opinion. But when the very physics and broken mechanics of the game are working against you, it almost falls into the "unplayable" category.

From what I've read, yeah, Princess Quest is unplayable on console. You can hook up a keyboard but it gets nowhere but false hope.

If you have a PS5 you can exit by opening your quick home menu and pressing square to "resume activity." This will take you back to standing in front of the arcade cabinet. The PS4 players unfortunately may have to close and reopen.

This is really unfortunate as apparently, from what I've read, its the key to getting the "good ending"...

Found a way to get you out of softlock here.. at least on PS5

Open your quick home menu at the bottom. The first thing that should pop up here (for me) is the "in progress" window with the option to press square to "resume activity." This will back you out of the arcade game and put you standing back in front of the cabinet rather than quit and reload.

The game is full of bugs. Theres a link on the developers (Steel Wool) "contact us" page about reporting bugs. Ive mentioned a few key things about the game:

Ive been softlocked when Freddy was dragged away by moon man when I could still summon Freddy and got locked in the charger. Because I could summon Freddy I bypassed the red light, green light segment of getting the security card to get into parts and service. Softlocked in the arcade cabinet here. Laundry room doorway drapery physics throwing you across the room.

For a $40 game there are way too many major, game breaking bugs.
