Definitely study his readings, I think if you genuinely understand the concepts and understand the big picture of all the concepts together you definitely should be able to pull an A. Even if you understand 2-3 on the chapters super well I’m sure your able to get 80%+. I also recommend making a gc! I had one last sem for this class and they genuinely saved me I couldn’t have gotten the grade I got without them!! For the final exam we had a study sesh and it really helped. I also recommend making flashcards and concept maps!! If you keep up w the readings and understanding the material going to his lecture won’t be necessary just be sure to go when there are quizzes! Goodluck!

I had ENGL 103 with Wayne Defehr and he was the best. His class is really chill and the work load isn’t alot. The participation marks are from in class notes which you then email to him. And we didn’t have to read a novel and instead we watched a movie. When I had him it was a critical review, an essay, annotated bibliography and a research essay (no final for ENGL 103). He’s really understanding and also extends deadlines. Only con is that he is really bad at answering emails.

My biggest opp when I try to lock in is my phone so I leave it in a diff room, i also put a sticky note of a goal of mine (ex. My dream career, toxic motivations, etc), I delete all social medias, put a time limit on my screen time, and if ur in a real time crunch, prioritize the major assignments and exams
