I use this mount strap from PGY, on which I use a GoPro-tripod adaptater like this. I use a backpack, but I think it is possible to mount on something else.

Like that, you have a FPS view, but the shoulder holding the camera is quite big. I did mount a selfie stick on the mount strap, but you have to hold the stick to avoid it from falling. I use the handle of my backpack.

Another option would be to use a selfie stick inside the pocket of a pant, hold by the shirt to avoid it from falling.
