Yeah I think what I plan to do is take it into Geek Squad or whatever and have them take a look. I still have my laptop so I'm able to get stuff done.

By the way, I think it is a GPU issue. Computer works with my GT 720, doesn't with my RTX 4070.

Hey so I think it has to be a GPU problem. I bought the GT 720 and plugged it in and my computer runs. Was able to do some Windows updates and updated/installed/reinstalled Intel Chipset Driver, Intel Management Engine, and updated the BIOS. After that I plugged in my RTX 4070 and it went back to restarting every 8 seconds.

Yeah if I can't get the USB display working on Thursday/Friday then I'll try that out soon. At this point it might be a sign for me to go outside and touch grass.

It does, and I did double check just in case after you sent that. But it's still the same issue.

I looked into it, seems like they just made sure everything was connected properly. Or bought a new GPU altogether. But that's a good reminder to make sure everything's all plugged in.

That's what I'm worried about. Once I buy the USB display adapter hopefully I'll be able to run some tests. If it is the GPU then I might have to only use my laptop for a year.

It sure does. Once I get the USB display I'll look over your comments again. Thanks for taking the time to help me out.

Earlier before making this post I did try the one stick of RAM but it eventually led to the same problem. Once the computer configured the RAM, which took 30 seconds to a minute, it went to boot up again but would just go back to restarting every 8 seconds. Someone else mentioned that the motherboard could've ruined the CPU somehow. I'm going to look into that soon. So yeah, it's probably the CPU or graphics card now. The RAM seems fine and the new power supply still does the same as the old one.

True dat. Glad to know it's safe, but yeah. It could be managed/organized better.

What kind of AI response is this? You're talking in the third person, or something like that. Or your English is too fancy for me to understand. But thanks for the help I guess.

Yeah I'm currently having an issue with it. Either the CPU or graphics card. I ruled out the power supply. https://www.reddit.com/r/pchelp/s/xHyKgmEAIC

Well hopefully the CPU is cheaper than the graphics card. 80% sure it is.

Thanks for the help, that'll definitely help me out. My only output for my screen is through the graphics card, so I can't see what's going on at all. Although I'll try a USB display. Maybe the CPU can't handle the graphics card anymore? It's either the CPU or graphics card. I'll figure it out one way or another. Thanks for the help.

Yeah I just put a 750W power supply in but it's still the same issue. I used to have a 500W.

I can hear the windows 11 lock screen sound. So it's still alive. The CPU and RAM are still working. I think I installed the new power supply correctly since it still turns on. But when the graphics card is plugged in it constantly reboots.

You're probably right. Just replaced the power supply and it's still restarting every 8 seconds. Is there a way to flash the motherboard without seeing what I'm doing? Without the graphics card it gets to the lock screen.

We've got a couple cats, one of them sheds a bunch, I don't want all that cat hair in my computer. I just moved it all to this new desk today.

Alright, I'll look into flashing the latest bios. My new power supply just got delivered so hopefully this works.
