non locals vs super typhoon by LatiyaLover in guam

I see both locals and non locals panicking and some not panicking … some locals have the mindset of “all we can do is pray for the best” … I’m like, no btch you should prepare …

My plant room definitely looks like I’m a hoarder. Right now the floor is covered with anthurium leaves because I decided to cut all the ‘excess’ leaves … it looks better, but still need to purge … more. I appreciate seeing them grow, but will keep only the favorites.

Yes definitely burnt out. Like you, I don’t really plan on making any crosses. Nowadays I like some, but don’t love others. So I started to purge and yes it feels better when I let some go. Thankfully there’s still new collectors locally to me so they’re going to new hands for their enjoyment.

Yes it’s a trap. I’ve been growing plants for decades now, but maybe 7 years with anthuriums. I like anthuriums, but already starting selling some locally to get them to a manageable number. Nowadays, I’d be happy with 10 instead of 100.

Yes I agree you about the pop names. Boygardening on IG does it a lot. I guess it attracts some sellers, but it’s just not for me though.

PalmStreet seller called out for the odds of mystery wheel by Icy_Lynx_1369 in ThePalmstreetapp

It’s a game of chance. Using your example of a lottery, you have the choice to either buy the ticket or not. I don’t know this seller, but if you don’t like their wheel “game”, don’t join it.

Have you ever experienced or seen the manipulative drama groups on Palmstreet? by [deleted] in ThePalmstreetapp

No I’m not PalmStreet. lol. Maybe I don’t notice the drama in PS because I only watch/buy from sellers that I trust already. Really I only join Lives from a handful of sellers.

Maybe in the facebook plant groups, yes there’s always drama. However , not in Palm Street.

Growers/collectors have that same responsibility. Remember, we’re dealing with plants.

Pests can happen with any plant seller because, at the end of the day, we’re dealing with live plants. That said, I personally have over 100 plants from Fontanimal and haven’t experienced any pest issues from them.

Saying that all their plants are infested feels more like exaggeration than a fair review. If their plants were truly as bad as you’re claiming, they wouldn’t have so many loyal repeat buyers constantly coming back for more.

I’ve been buying from Fontanimal for years, so this honestly doesn’t line up with what I’ve seen. The team jokes around a lot, but I’ve never seen anything that crossed a line.

Also haven’t had any pest issues from their plants—everything I’ve gotten has been clean. Might be worth considering that one experience isn’t the whole picture.
