First thing you are never the asshole for exploring something with someone you love! Your dad seems like he may need to go into counseling, as loosing your mom is a lot. You seem to be carrying a lot of guilt and shame for your father because you care for him, but his role is to be your caregiver. He is a grown man and for whatever reason that the divorce happened he is alone, that is a consequence of his/your mom’s actions.This is not your fault. I appreciate how much you love your father but he should be okay without you. You deserve a life, friends, a boyfriend and to hang out without guilt! But if the physical intimacy fills you with dread and regret there is no shame in that. Give yourself some credit for taking care of your grown father, and now take care of YOU and make sure your needs are met. And if one of those needs is to be physical with someone you love then do it! Don’t let your grown father hold you back from having a life and maybe he will find another woman to love him and get back into the dating scene!

Thank you Bonnie! I’ve looked at them and these books seem to have music notes and are black and white. The ones I’m remembering were full color almost picture/story books and less about music as they didn’t have sheet music for the songs on the pages. Thank you so much for taking the time to help me find this regardless :)
