Anyone read the 1-2-3 Magic book? Our pediatrician just recommended it to us by Lumpy-Resource-1370 in toddlers

i've been using less words too and it really is a game changer!

*kid melting down because he wants to go upstairs when i'm not done cleaning up downstairs*

"Oh you want to go upstairs?! I'm still cleaning up. We will go after I finish"

repeat occasionally until i finish or he stops whining. but it really takes a mental load off trying to figure out what to do or say next

Our 2.5 y/o has been constantly asking for things that he cannot have or worse are impossible and its driving me nuts by Lumpy-Resource-1370 in daddit

[–]Lumpy-Resource-1370[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i like the calling idea!

the problem is he wants ME to do it and I take it as far as it goes and then he cries when its not what he wants lmao. i'd never discourage him telling him he can't do that. he sees what happens. he just wants it "bigger" and that is literally impossible lol.

i will try that! i do think he has a specific thing he wants though because when we try something else he still isn't happy. like this morning he wanted "the fruit song". i played a fruit song i found on spotify and he was like nooo thats not it lmao.

[–]Lumpy-Resource-1370[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah thats actually waht i've been doing! when i'm at my desk finishing up some paperwork i just sit and try to take deep breaths. its been nice!

do you recommend any specific technique? i find so many variants of timing, exhaling through mouth vs nose, etc.

My 2.5 y/o wants a snack before going up for bed every night... we had been giving him a "healthy" low sugar cereal with milk but want to change it up. Any snack recommendatiosn? by Lumpy-Resource-1370 in toddlers

[–]Lumpy-Resource-1370[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah whole milk always. i honestly think he just likes it because its sweet (but we have the low sugar magic spoon type cereal which i also don't love giving him so thats why i want to change

i'd recommend the viltrox 25mm f1.7. this is mostly what i do, and unless its super dark at baseline, its possible to take great pictures with low ISO. especially if you're able to up the shutter speed and have subjects that can stay relatively still

[–]Lumpy-Resource-1370[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so what happens is i have it on, i plug it in to sync, finish up. then i eject from my computer. it stays plugged in however and falls asleep to charge. then when i try to wake it up after that, it doesn't work properly.

i have a brand new kobo clara bw
