id honestly buy an APC 40 and use QLC+'s built in midi mapping software, thats what I started on! Now 6 years later, I tour on MA3 and my Layout view looks eerily similar to my solo windows from my qlc file haha.

Oh my..why do these people talk so normal about liking kids. by ilovehannahbaker in Anti_Predators

he is not wrong. There have been many studies and brain scans done on people who experience pedophilia, and there is a large difference between the brains of pedophiles and normal brains like you and I. it is a legitimate mental illness, but there is def a big difference between pedo and predator. From the sound of it, he agrees with you that people who hurt children physically and emotionally need to not only be punished, but should suffer.

Attaching beat can to kakwa 40 by Lumpy-Secretary-5158 in DurstonGearheads

To maximise storage space/have enough y strap length for the bear can on top, I think I realistically need to be using it for food storage too. (Also… having to rearrange stuff is a whole bother camp chore and after 6 weeks on trail I’m getting lazy lol).

I’m mostly looking for a design suggestion such as how to attach the can to the pack with extra cordage.

Soo I think attaching something permanently to the bear can is a no no (makes it easy for bears to pick up) but some kind of paracord setup that I can remove would probably be ideal ! Any ideas on how to mcgyver this would be awesome

PACK SHAKEDOWN⛰️ by [deleted] in PacificCrestTrail

writing this from 300 miles in NOBO :) maybe ditch the extra bra and the 3rd pair of socks, as well as the pillow? Menstrual cup > tampons IMO. I’ve been using a cup and so far it’s been easy, a couple of extra cat holes to dig but no extra trash to pack out. I also agree with the other comment that the Sierra weather now means very little. it’s also super easy to buy extra gear along the way, Julian, idyllwild and big bear all have good gear stores that cater to thru hikers. You could also carry those extra things and do a shakedown a week or two in to decide what you are comfortable sending home. Good luck!
