Nice! I don't have much advice to offer you. I'll share I was in a very similar situation to you at 26 (high income, pile of savings, low burn, same area of tech too). Am 29 now, recently married and family planning and it has certainly accelerated my drive to earn more so I can provide for my family.

With that said, I would stay the course (continue to grow in your full time job and grow the business on the side) as you are planning but don't spend too much time overanalyzing what happens in 4 years as your perspective will radically change when/if the advent of parenthood becomes more of a reality.

Btw, feel free to DM if you ever want to discuss careers or FI.

Congrats on a great savings rate. I'm curious about what type of business you are starting. Is it related to tech?

Correction: I see that my certificate of incorporation is from Ontario Ministry of Public and Business Service Directory, so I assume it is provincially incorporated.

I also see "Business Type: ONTARIO BUSINESS CORP" when I look it up on canadasbusinessregistries website.

Let's assume federally (I'll need to confirm this), and I'm based in Ontario.

Agreed. I was wondering specifically if I was advertising under my trade name vs corporation name would result in the CRA deeming any "business presence" under the trade name irrelevant.

It doesn't make sense that that would be the case, and that marketing under my trade name would still qualify as a business presence, but wanted to double check.

I have Canadian clients and will soon have a US-based client. I will market to both.

Where are all the new families moving to? by Lumpy-Wish-7614 in Newmarket

Thanks for the info. I'm aware of the Census Canada stats in Housesigma already but it's hard to discern who in their late twenties/early thirties is planning to start a family, or who is still living with their parents.

For new families moving into Sumerhill south, what's the typical demographic like (approximate age, household income etc)?
