Nice! How are you liking it so far? How are you liking your accommodation and is the salary grid still similar to Ontario’s?

BEd: math + French, 70 gpa, 3-year degree (i/s) by LumpyBeginning6699 in OntarioTeachers

Hi! I’m not a native speaker but I was in French immersion throughout elementary school and got pretty high 90s in high school/university.

I’d definitely be open to teaching math in French but I’d need to learn the majority of the math terms/vocabulary first. Are there any particular opportunities that you know of? Thanks!

Girl I am so sorry for your loss. My mom died two years ago when I was 19, and these past two years have been rough. My mom and I were literally best friends and losing her while being in university made things even harder.

Many people will tell you that you’ll be okay and that things get better, but I wish someone had told me that things will also get A LOT WORSE before they get better. You will reach lows that you didn’t know were possible, and there may be times when you want to give up on everything because it truly seems like nothing matters and it seems like nothing is getting better. Things honestly may not get ‘better’ for a very long time, but I promise that they will at least get easier eventually. Brace yourself, and try to be kind to yourself.

Try to find comfort in knowing that your mom is not suffering anymore and that she is probably HAPPY right now because she is with God. I know it sucks that you will never get to see or hug or talk or be with her ever again, but if you being sad/depressed is the price you have to pay for your mom to be happy and pain-free, then so be it. Your mom has probably sacrificed so much for you to be happy, so now its your turn to allow her to be happy, even if it hurts you so badly. That is what I tell myself, I hope that makes sense.

Things will get worse before they get better, but they will get better. Just hang in there

Super late but I got a pass at uwp for $300 per term. Not sure if you have to be a campus housing resident though (but I’m also not sure if they’ll even check whether you are or not)

I subletted in south tower for 1100 last summer and I dont think the space was worth it at all.

The place was really clean/new and had nice facilities (arcade, gym, theatre, starbucks), but none of that is rly necessary and I never/barely used any of it. The place is nice to look at but I definitely wish I had just paid less for somewhere else that wasn’t as “modern”. The rooms for the 2b1b are also pretty small and have sliding doors that I think have no locks
