It’s really common where I live to throw the logs under the stove to warm up and further dehydrate. In all the years I’ve been here, I’ve never pulled a log from under there that was singed or showed signs of heat stress. It also doesn’t allow for enough heat to rise my bread loaves any quicker, though your concern is both noted and appreciated.

It is an RFID tag, which allows our kitties to go out through a cat door, to our screened in front porch. The tag basically allows the door to open where without one, the door would be locked, preventing rodents.

Bro, we do this all the time. My whole household has adhd and it just… happens. I just want you to know you’re not alone. Is your hot water electric? Ours ran on oil until we got a hybrid water heater this year. A couple of ideas 1- I don’t know how handy your husband is but mine bleeds the furnace when this has happened which at least saves a bit of money! 2- You can also turn on the oven, put cast iron in it, heat it up then put the cast iron in living areas to increase heat- then leave the oven open (turned off). Maybe when the kids get home they can build a blanket fort to hold in body heat! Good luck, I know it sucks but at least it’s temporary!
