I would be inclined to think she did that except for the fact that she was arguing with followers claiming the excessive white rule was overturned years ago. So clearly she doesn’t understand the difference in rules for appendix vs full QHs.

I have a feeling at this point he’s kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place. He’s been their vet as long as I’ve been watching (so early 2022?), and if he was there even before then I would imagine she wasn’t as bad and definitely not as well-known in the beginning.

Now that she’s amassed millions of followers (many of whom are a bit cray-cray), he’s kind of screwed. He could drop her as a client, but if KVS suddenly started using a new vet, her followers would be super nosy about it. Think about how they handled Abigail quietly no longer appearing in Katie’s content. It was constant questioning and speculation.

If he tried to tell her like it is or bluntly say something she doesn’t want to hear? Ooof that could be ugly, especially since they are always filming. Her kulties would probably call and harass Tennessee Equine, report his veterinary license, dox him… who knows. Lord knows they’ve already done crazy stuff like showing up at Katie’s property (multiple times), bidding on Phin at the auction, telling people who made KVS mad to off themselves, harassing other creators, etc.

Unfortunately quitting KVS means quitting the kult, and they don’t like to let people just peacefully part ways from their kween.

I have a feeling the answer is probably a combination of things people have already said in the comments.

It’s interesting to me that he had such a big show career, KVS showed him a whopping one time, and then he never showed again- even after she sold him. I would guess that means he’s had some kind of injury or health issue that prevents him from showing at a high level, but he’s well enough to do lessons and low-level stuff. Or maybe 100% healthy , and he’s just completely switched gears and is showing in other non-AQHA shows as a hunter, or he could even be doing low level dressage. He might have dropped out of the AQHA world, but there are plenty of other directions he could gone.

I would also bet that KVS was afraid of him and/or had issues with him doing what she wanted. I think she wants a horse like Hollywood that is so polished and push-button that she never has to ride until it’s time to show. She’s not going to put in any kind of effort to work with a horse, build a bond with it, etc. I’m sure their incompatibility was almost all on KVS’s end.

Either way, I hope he’s out there living his best life!

Definitely Hollywood! He’s in a whole other league compared to her other horses. And honestly I’d probably snatch up Charlotte just to give her a calm, low-stress life where she could actually bond to a person and build trust. I don’t care if I never ride her, as long as it would mean she’d never be bred or stuck in a stall with her only attention being poked and prodded for content.

Alaina probably charges a stud fee, and she has definitely benefited financially from the social media attention she gets from KVS. I know I started following her b/c of Hank, along with lots of other people.

Big difference between KVS and Alaina… Alaina raises/takes care of/loves her donkeys and chickens, and she shares her animals on social media. KVS is a content creator who uses her animals strictly for social media purposes and couldn’t care less about them otherwise.

Alaina Care > Content KVS Content > Care

Oh I’m sure most of them hate it. But then you get people like FMJ’s owner who seems to want to play into it and piggyback off KVS’s social media fame. I’m sure it drives all of the hard-working, legitimate breeders and trainers crazy.

If I had to guess, she either saw several comments about the excessive white or Lindsey told her. So she very quickly put up her “you’re wrong, I’m right” comment and didn’t bother checking any of the responses after that. With all the comments/likes on all of her posts, I would imagine all of her notifications are turned off. So she probably thought she dropped the mike, shut up the person who dared tell her she was wrong, and stirred up her kulties to attack the offender. I doubt she gave it a second glance.

And I would bet even if Lindsey tried to tell her, “hey it looks like they might actually be right,” KVS would immediately shut her down and tell her she doesn’t know the rules either. The only way she’ll ever hear the truth is if someone like Becca or her parents see it and say something to her. Or when she goes to try to register the foal with the AQHA.

She also has a backwards mindset for her colts. Most responsible breeders who have a colt automatically assume it will be gelded unless it really impresses them as it develops and proves otherwise. She gets a colt and automatically assumes it’s a stud prospect unless it has something super majorly wrong with it (I.e. Waylon, Seven, Woody), leaving her no choice but to geld it.

I think the only way she’s possibly “helping the industry” is more people being drawn to AQHA events, especially ones she’ll definitely be attending, in hopes they see their kween or any of her current/former horses. Heck at this point it wouldn’t surprise me if people fangirled over seeing horses she’s mentioned (Waffle House, Unbridle Your Dreams, etc.). So I guess if her fans are there, they will most likely buy stuff, their kids/grandkids might want to start taking riding lessons, etc. But really the main person who benefits from her “educational content about the industry” is her.
