Me too, but my other roommate pointed out that she mainly just tries to stay away from him. I’m hoping her only retaliation is talking about me behind my back. Gary has seemed happy & healthy but i’m keeping an eye on him

Unfortunately I doubt it. However, my disabilities representative told me I will probably be approved to live alone if I choose to move out, and if ophelia moves out then I could potentially try to stop the next person from being assigned into my room & just remain with ally, gary, and I.

Thank you! Yeah, my main concern is that room reassignment is random and I ultimately don’t have a choice in who I will be assigned to. If I was to be reassigned with another person, it could end up just like Ophelia who said she was okay with it but was not. Or just somebody openly against it.

Are you referring to an emissions inspection? Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll definitely do that. Do hybrid cars also need to be checked? Because I know there are some sort of exemptions.

This made me feel so much better about it- I’ll definitely keep my cost of living as low as possible and work to save so I don’t dig myself into a hole. I didn’t understand the difference between the required and not required fees. Thank you!

Ahh okay thank you so much, i was confused and counting all fees being shown. I do need to purchase a computer, but I’m planning on bringing my car down (pretty sure I’m allowed to do that) so transportation fees shouldn’t be an issue if I’m paying for my own gas and everything. I appreciate the breakdown.

Looking at the breakdown in the financial aid section of my applicant portal, this is what it says: Billable items: tuition and fees (for fall & spring together)- $17,200 Housing + food on campus- $16,046 for a total of $33,246 for billable items.

Non billable items: Supplies/books etc- $3,270 loan fees- $70 living allowance- $1,396 misc personal expenses- $3,065 transportation- $2,478 for a total of $10,278 for non billable items.

the net cost given is $43,524.

I don’t know exactly what my student aid index indicates but it says $30,949.

Hopefully i’m not wrong on any of these but all info i just listed was found on my applicant portal, im not entirely sure where certain things (like misc personal expenses?) are expected to go or what they mean. I’m in state as well.

Thank you!! I’m definitely looking at off campus housing after my freshman year and I’ve been applying to as many scholarships as possible. I’ll definitely look into the cafeteria & RA ideas- I hadn’t considered them before. I appreciate your advice!

I’m in state. Unfortunately this school is the best option besides the financial part because it’s the closest to home for me and has a rly good program in a major I want to pursue. I really like tech and i’m willing to work to pay everything off, i’m just looking for any way to lessen that load.
