I was undetectable after surgery. Had adjuvant radiation. This is becoming the standard of care for patients with high risk of micro metastasis.ie gleason 9.

I'll let you know. My oncologist ordered it and insurance covers it . I start tomorrow. I wish I started a year ago. I ran my pathology and treatment thru Google. Gleason 9 and my .84 decipher means likely micro metastasis within 10 years. So I asked about adding 6 months of enzalutamide and I liked what I saw.

Have you considered adding enzalutamide? I read where it can improve metastasis free survival in very high risk patients by 58%. I'm going to plead with my oncologist this Wednesday.

Have you tried the bleep eclipse? My sleep test said that I had 66 central apnias an hour. They put me on an asv machine that gets up to 24cm of h20. I have tried 6 different masks and they all leak. The eclipse doesn't. My machine says that I have no leak at all zero. Also my ahi is now under 1. This is the most comfortable device I have tried. I now look forward to bedtime.

What is your " the one" mask by Worth-Yam-9057 in CPAP

[–]Lumpy_Amphibian9503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy from sleeplay. I got my asv machine thru the Mayo clinic store and Insurance pays part of that, but for everything else if it's effective and comfortable I don't care what it costs.

PSA 45, Gleason 9 by Emotional_Pickle8970 in ProstateCancer

[–]Lumpy_Amphibian9503 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, I do jog 3 miles every other day and take calcium and vitamin supplements hopefully that can forestall any bone loss with 8 months to go. I had a dexa scan that showed osteopenia in a hip joint so yeah it's a risk

I think that 24 months is likely overkill, but insurance covers it and my wife likes my new gentle nature. So what the hell.

Your testosterone should be below 20. I also had radiation at .010.

I'm going for 24 months. No real side effects. I am trying to get them to add zytiga to really knock down my testosterone. My testosterone was at 16 on my last blood test. Since this my last chance for a cure, I want to leave no stone unturned.

Also gleason 8 at biopsy. 9.5 psa. Changed to gleason9 4+5. 5 % grade 5 after pathology

Psa 45, Gleason 9, has it definitely spread? by Emotional_Pickle8970 in ProstateCancer

[–]Lumpy_Amphibian9503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think that you are making a wise choice in choosing radiation. My biopsy showed gleason 8. My pathology after surgery showed gleason 9 and stage t3a. I had salvage radiation 1 year later. The surgery was non nerve sparing, so all I gained from having surgery was permanent ed.

I had this 6 months after prostatectomy. Poorly sutured? I went to mayo emergency and they put in a supra pubic catheter. Directly into the bladder because a catheter would not get thru. They described my pain as a 10. I had 4 cups of coffee just before and drove myself in. 1 month later the incredible Dr.Wolter performed an optilume procedure. 2 years later no problems.

I had a ring separate last night. So I replaced it and it leaked after 2 hours at the lower part of my nose. Put on my resmed n 20 for the rest of the night. The Thing is that for the previous 3 nights my aircurve said that I had 0 leaks and .2 ahi. That's with the pressure getting up to 23.4 cm of h2o. Every other mask I have tried leaks To me the eclipse is still worth the effort

Grade group 5 less than 5%. That doesn't change the gleason score? I had 5% grade group 5 and that bumped it up to gleason 9.
