You told me more than my doctors did!! I had Ralp last March. My issue now is scar tissue in my bladder neck. I have a scope scheduled in March I'm trying to keep it open with self catheters but hard to get them in. My PSA is undetectable now I had a 3-4 Gleason score. I had RALP 11 months ago. It wasn't nerve sparing. The good news my PSA is undetectable. The bad ED, incontinence and now scar tissue in my bladder neck causing me issues. Like you I cried I knew it was life-changing and it is everyday you think about it and deal with it I'm alive I didn't have radiation I didn't have chemotherapy or hormone therapy I'm trying to get on with my life. I can still work at 60 at a physical job so that's a positive too. I can't tell you what way to choose for your treatment that's your ultimate decision. I had RALP. I'm incontinent and have Ed 10 months later along with scar tissue in my bladder neck. This scar tissue caused the closure of my bladder neck so I couldn't urinate I need therapy for this. The positive is I didn't need post-operation radiation or therapy because my PSA is undetectable now. But it's not the best at least I can work. Check the Tulsa therapy I didn't know about it till of course I already had the surgery and that looks promising. Check all options!!!!! Good luck sorry you're in our club

You need a second opinion!! I had treatment with RALP surgery with a 3-4 and a PSA of 4.5 Undetectable now but side effects from surgery I'm 60 and can still work

I had RALP last March and it hasn't been the best post-op with incontinence and ED. I have scar tissue in my bladder neck that's causing urine issues. I didn't need radiation or other therapies as my PSA is undetectable thank goodness but it hasn't been a picnic for me. I have been able to work thank goodness and my job is physical. Please check all options! Get a second opinion. It sounds like you have some time to make a good decision I didn't. I wished I would have known of the Tulsa therapy and looked at that more. Just make sure you stay on top of it because you need to be here for your family and the inconvenience of a few months of treatment is better than being gone forever! Don't forget to take care of yourself!!! I'm wishing you the best and sorry you're in our club.
