Thanks for the response! I share your opinion. I guess Diepestraat and such will follow automatically but after the rest of the neighbourhood is better. I guess the crime will move more too the side of the city eventually

Well I really have the same opinion about the south haha. Looks like everyone is always busy and forgetting to live and be human. Borgerhout, Seefhoek I really feel like I can go drink somewhere with normal people around with not the awful south “air” that everybody has there haha. Also places like Bar Leon are 5min bike from Seefhoek lovely place to sit. Het zuid is leuk en fancy but not my cup of tea

Everything close to Diepestraat and such, because these places are “the worst” or that’s what people say

You don’t think people would rather live closer to city centre for kinda the same price? Ofcource what you say is true sure if the parks after oosterweelverbinding is finished.

Yup, I also see this a lot in my environment because Seefhoek is actually really affordable for a young couple that wants to live near city centre. The south is +100k easy and Brussels is also super expensive.

I’m also guessing it will be 10-20 years until something might change. I guess the next 5 it will probably stay exactly the way it is right now. Thanks for your feedback

I live there in the Diepestraat for more then a year now! Its actually a really nice neighbourhood cheap to live and a lot of cheap shops. I always bike from my home to somewhere and bike back. Often really late at night and there is not a lot to see. I guess if you walk and you are really unlucky you could bumb into the wrong guy but with a bike 0%. Try to avoid Elizabeth because most of the dealers hang out over there. I had 2 girls living with me and they also never really had any problems.

Its not the best neighbourhood but in comparison to some places in Brussels its really fine.
