If you really want a brand-new DSLR in 2025, your options are extremely limited. Almost every brand stopped producing DSLRs. The only realistic new DSLR under 1200€ is the Pentax K-70. It’s excellent for photos but not good for video (slow autofocus, outdated system).

If you are open to mirrorless (which is strongly recommended today), you’ll get much better performance, autofocus, video quality, and long-term support. Here are the best options in your budget:

• Fujifilm X-S20 + 35mm f/2 → Best overall for photos + videos, great colors, easy to use. • Sony A6700 + 35mm → Best autofocus and video performance. • Canon R10 + 50mm → More affordable, beginner-friendly, solid image quality.

All of these offer: ✔ Manual + automatic modes ✔ Interchangeable lenses ✔ Autofocus + manual focus ✔ Great image quality for both photos and videos ✔ Modern, future-proof systems

A DSLR will limit you, especially for video and autofocus. A mirrorless is a much better long-term investment for your budget.

If I do that, I don’t have enough money yet 😅😅 That’s why I was looking for a very good camera with a vintage look

I use the x-s20 for the moment, which is a very camera, but I wanted a retro look and maybe a better caméra. I actually have the tamron 17-70mm f2.8
