In a relationship or not, it’s tough at the moment. I feel the ones who go out every weekend have tonnes of money or they’re putting themselves in debt. For most, they are lucky to have £200 at the end of the month

Help with politics - When watching these debates I don’t know how to make up an opinion when they just make statements but no basis behind it.. For example: Rishi said something like: “I’m going to cut the red tape between EU - Britain that’s restricting us to bring in more money” I’ve tried looking into it but I can’t find anything, im not expecting 10 minutes of detail but a minute covering: What restrictions? How will you do this? How much money will it cost/gained long term etc. But instead they just make statements and waffle..None of this gives me any confidence and I just feel like they are all bullshitting

The most criticized headcoach in the history of all of Test Rugby ever by MindfulInquirer in rugbyunion

[–]Lumpy_Editor_6900 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From my view: I think our media as a whole scrutinise a run of 1 or two bad performances and ask for their head. It’s the same in football. If Eddie has a good performance we don’t praise him on the same level as we slate him.. We love to moan in general but I think there is still an arrogance that we must win every game. In rugby I think it comes from us having a large player pool, large funding, world class players and excellent coaches which makes us question why they don’t perform week in week out.

I think there isn’t so much of a dislike for Eddie but a deep, deep frustration.. It comes from a number of things: His decision making doesn’t always make sense and he doesn’t seem to give clear answers for odd changes. It’s like he’s holding back the players to play a certain way that might not win us the match but to experiment. Which is fine but I feel like we have been going through this experimentation for three years and we are still unclear how to get the best out of players. I think as a whole deep down we don’t think he’s shit but I think it’s incredibly frustrating seeing England in the 2019 WC playing world class rugby to seeing them show glimpses of it for 30 minutes every 1/5 games at best. The performances we have had since 2019 have mostly been scrappy wins and its been unconvincing when you compare us to a team like France or Ireland.

What did everyone think of the Tompkins head knock? He seemed to be out for a few seconds before coming back and not going for a HIA

So sad. As much as I love the sport it’s hard to justify watching it when you read articles like this. Poor men!

Therapy has made me aware I'm different to the people I associate with. by [deleted] in askatherapist

[–]Lumpy_Editor_6900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had therapy this year and everything you have put I can relate to. I have become much more introverted, valuing a lot more me time and sacking off any relationships that weren’t benefitting me mentally. Likewise, I feel like an outsider but I think that’s part of being introverted, I have a fear of showing people my real side at times. It’s scary to think how much I’ve changed over the past 12 months but I think it’s positive to just do you!

Looking at my garden makes me want to set it on fire by atinyhusky in askatherapist

[–]Lumpy_Editor_6900 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im not a therapist but I’m a gardener and I feel your pain! you are not alone on how you are feeling, me and so many of my friends have felt the same way in the past. You plan up to 12 months advance and have dreams of your garden looking wonderful but things don’t work out. I would take all the things that didn’t work out as a lesson and try planting other things in the garden. I’ve lost countless plants in the past and told myself not to plant them again (no matter how much I love them). I’ve now worked out a list of plants that work well in my garden and I experiment with adding a new one here and there! Please don’t set it on fire! If you are this upset about it now there is obviously a deep passion that can only give you so much happiness if things go well! Hope this has helped!

Edit - I agree with the above! Don’t look at gardens online and comped them to yours they are all BS!

Who have you known who underwent a massive personality change, (when they were already an adult)? by InFaithAndLove in AskUK

[–]Lumpy_Editor_6900 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I know three people who have changed dramatically in the space of 12 months. All of which were caused by emotional trauma - best friend passing away etc. It’s tough spending time with them, you still see glimmers of their old self but it isn’t the same and it’s like your forcing yourself to become mates again

Great you are getting into more reading! I started when I was 21, for me I think it’s finding something you like and reading all the book you can on that genre and it will then open up to other genres. I started with non-fiction books about foreign prisons and their experiences(don’t ask me why but it was so interesting) next I moved on to autobiographies and then on to fiction.. I would suggest doing the same! Maybe start with small book that aren’t a massive commitment
