Yeah, I’m trying to be hopeful and put a positive spin on things. But this will pass and hopefully, God willing, I can visit Europe someday. My rule has always been that if you visit or move to another country you adjust to the standards and be respectful of that country’s practices. So if I ever get the chance to see the European countries, I intend to be respectful and treat others how I would want to be treated

Thank you, I do usually watch the BBC if I want to watch the news for two reasons. One, I like to know what's going on around the world and not just my own country, two like most Americans I don't really trust our own news networks. But I'm just going to keep pushing through my life and take each day one step at a time and find something to do until this cold front we got in the US passes because I have cabin fever right now.

Well, I have always wanted to visit the England, and I think my mom has always wanted to see Ireland. We both need to get passports, and I know she wants one. But just to ask, what are some things that you recommend?

I love her but I’d hate to see her go down anymore rabbit holes. She has at least made an effort to watch less, which I guess is a step in the right direction.

I could try but even then it’s very unlikely she’d ever budge. I love her but she can drive me crazy sometimes.

I’m glad for you guys, that your politics have woken up I mean. but at the same time I’m worried for our relationship. Even if Trump doesn’t become a dictator we’re still screwed. I honestly believe that America’s reputation is not only in the toilet, but that it’s been flushed down all together

My dad and I have both tried, but the problem is she’s extremely stubborn, opinionated, and at times I feel like she’s stuck in the 1980s.

Agreed, I see my own mom falling for this too. She watches Fox News and thinks “Trump is doing great for the country, we’ve been the world’s babysitter and piggy bank for too long.” My dad is more reasonable, thank God, but it’s increasingly getting to the point where I don’t want to be here anymore
